Hourly reminder that TDEE calculators are lying to you, all except the Katch-McArdle formula which calculates TDEE based on your body fat percentage which is extremely relevant to us fat fucks.

If you're a 20%+ bf skinnyfat "guy" or a fat fuck, you need to use the Katch-Mcardle with the "sedentary" multiplier and calculate calories from working out on your own.

Other formulas overestimate your TDEE by up to 600kcal a day depending on your body fat percentage.

Being fat and having to eat more to maintain your weight is a meme unless you're extremely obese (400+lbs).

I'm about 83lbs down since Feb doing IF/caloric restriction. More than 40 hours into a 48 hour fast to jump start keto diet, first meal later tonight. Problem is, I don't like avocados or half the shit on the diet lists. I also don't want to force my wife to spend 3 hours making a keto-macro-friendly dinner. What are your quick and easy keto meals that get you to that 5%/70%/25% macro range?

If it helps, I've been thinking of doing an after dinner snack of pepperoni and cheddar cheese to up the fat content.

Lads some advice, I am starting to switch to pure vegetable stew and shredded wheat but is this good enough to live on? Am I getting all that I need from doing this?

I can also add some red meat into the stew for 2x meals a week if that is required to be healthy. The stew has the following vegetables:

carrots
tomatoes
bell peppers
garlic
red onions

and I was thinking of adding in parsnips and courgettes as well if they will add a huge amount to my health.

Somebody posted yesterday some army bodyweight routine stuff. Can there be any progress on that stuff if it's only 2 days a week? I bike and do HIIT 3 other days in the week, I really can't do both on the same days at all. Or should I do those bodyweight exercises 3 days a week and bike HIIT only 2 days? I'd still bike on the other days too, but at a constant speed.

I don't think I'll really need another 'cheat' day now. While I'm cutting I'm pretty happy with shakes or light healthy meals, and then a nice high protein meat dinner in the evening.

When I go back to eating more normally to build, I can have the occasional snack, and eat stuff I like without being as careful, and if I mess up just cut a bit more.

I 'only' need to lose another 30/40 or so pounds, for a total of about 60/70, so I'm not really worried about loose skin or anything. I was 240 at my heaviest and am over 6 foot. Already down to overweight rather than obese BMI and into my old XL shirts comfortably. If I feel that I'm skinnyfat when I reach my goal I'll just build some, give it six months for my skin to adjust, and then maybe lose the rest.

This weekend I sort of hit a state where I can just drink 2 litres of water a day and eat a small meal, and not feel especially hungry or too unwell to work out. Just the occasional minor headache, easily dealt with. It was awesome. Hope I haven't messed it up.

feeling pretty depressed today though. I have a knee injury and can't do legs at the gym, can't run, and have to miss at minimum 1 month of my work. Do guys think meatballs made with lean beef have a lot of calories? My mom made gluten free pasta and I only had a little bit with barely any sauce, and 2 meatballs. They're not that big and I looked it up and apparently a medium sized meatball only has like 74 calories, and a large one is 111 cals. Seems like undercounting to me

You have to account for breadcrumbs, cheese, and egg calories too, unless they were literally balls of meat and nothing more.

Depends on what else is in the meatballs. Some people add breadcrumbs like you would with a meatloaf or parmesan cheese, which can make a single ball pretty dense in calories.
I remember making them with both, counted the calories and realized it was like 200 per ball.

If you're tracking your calories on MFP, I find it easier to set my goal to be maintaining my weight, and then I just have fun staying under that. It's much more rewarding to see the -1032 calories remaining in green, then the +547 in red because you overshot your goal trying to fill it up, rather than having a nice buffer.

I can usually hit between 500-1000 under TDEE by just paying attention, instead of having a set goal to reach.

I thought to myself "damn, if I was not dieting, I would get something to snack on now" and then it hit me: I was completely satiated (I was 3PM and I had a nice lunch) and it was more a craving than anything else. totally depends on the kind of rice and how it's prepared, if its "american-ized" it'll have tons of shit carbs. i just had panda express and a serving of the fried rice has like 80 carbs so i only ate a half portion.

5 burgers = 1500
3 fries = 750
grand total = 2250

I keep forgetting that as I get lighter it should take less alkie to get the same buzz.

Im doing this now because my stomach touches my belt buckle.

when i played football i was at 250. I did construction the summer after and was in fantastic cardiovascular and strenght shape, but still was fat. i was 260 when i went to college, actually lost someweight because i was too lazy to go eat. then this year as soon as i decreased my add meds I shot up 20 to 280. ive come down a few pounds but always bounced back.
