Oh, I think it is. The Adriatic was turned to farmland and there is a landbridge between Sicily and the rest of Italy.

It's from an in-development HOI4 mod called The New Order, where if the Nazis won the war, and then reality proceeded to assfuck them like there was no tomorrow.

Yes. Building all the dams nearly bankrupted the German economy, most of the reclaimed land was inhospitable desert, and it wrecked the economy of nearly every Mediterranean country to the point where Italy quit the Axis.

That actually sounds interesting. I don't own HOI4, but I'd like to read more about the scenario. Any links?
