Why is being "technologically advanced" considered valuable? What about spiritual technology? Or community. Or personal enlightenment?

>he doesn't believe the pyramids were flying machines powered by the inner divinity of the negro soul.

Because technological advancement is what we have, so we have to put an emphasis on that being the key to our greatness.

>>Shah Abdul Aziz had little faith in the intellectual abilities of the British and looked down on them for their abject failure to grasp the most elementary subtleties of Muslim theology. Every race has its own particular aptitude, he wrote. ‘The Hindus have a special inclination for mathematics. The Franks have a special aptitude for industry and technology. But their minds, with few exceptions, cannot grasp the finer points of logic, theology and philosophy.’

>Why is being "technologically advanced" considered valuable?
Because savages get BTFO by civilizations with superior technology. Do you like the Idea of being conquered and exploited?

>Spiritual technology
The fuck

The end.

>be Buddhist monk
>spend decades meditating
>become enlightened
>east India company shows up
>decides your monastery would make a sporting location for a fox hunting range
>some drunk 20 year old brit shows up to kick you out
>You smirk knowing that this fool is unenlightened and lacks the levels of spiritual technology you posses
>this fight will be over before he knows what hit him
>bang
>shocked you fall to the ground as you feel immense pain
>how could this have happened?
>you did all the breathing exercises and meditation
>you are the best in martial arts of all the monks in your monastery
>as everything fades to black you hear the brit turn to his fellow soldier
>fookin shite m8 this mad cunt tryed to punch me, fookin savages.
>as I die I smile knowing that my civilization's spiritual technology will make short work of these invaders

measure them

get out >& humanities

All the west has is technology. Thus it is the only metric we can judge others by.

So technology is a means of survival through violence. It has no actual value unless we really just live to survive, and then we're just like every other animal.

Technological advancement is more likely to persist throughout the ages than spiritual, communal, or personal enlightenments. Just look at how little we know about pre-European North American religion and communal practices (saying "well, they PROBABLY acted this way doesn't count because there's no way of knowing for sure that they performed that practice) compared to how much we know about what tools they used and what they achieved with them.

We could hardly lord that crap over black people, could we? That's why technological advancement is key!

>you shouldn't try to survive and prosper because that makes you like an animal
Wrong. Technology is the product of a disciplined mind that seeks to investigate the world it was born into.

Humans who act like animals would rather not put in the effort, some become lethargic and focus on short term hedonism, others are attracted to gnosticism and other beliefs that declare the material world to be "evil" and attempt to sink into some pseudo-spiritual fantasy world like a moody teenager running to their room and slamming the door. Either way it is a sickness, a coping mechanism, someone who spends their life like this is devoid of spirit.

see

What does that have to do with it?

>So technology is a means of survival through violence. It has no actual value unless we really just live to survive, and then we're just like every other animal.
>Wrong. Technology is the product of a disciplined mind that seeks to investigate the world it was born into.

The problem with the west is those disciplined minds hand over those technological advances to savages. If you live in a society with gunpowder, you're more advanced than a society without it - but just because you can buy a gun doesn't make you civilized.

>this thread
Cringe. Because it's fucking useful. It's not mutually exclusive either, you can value technology and community. You can't value spiritual technology because that's not a real thing though.

>Cringe
Ugh this thread is so bad.
