When working forearms with a wrist roller, do I flexion extension (normal roll) or radial ulnar (sideways) first? They have some overlap so I want to know which to put my focus on. Still gonna do both though.

Nice stuff to do for volume, hits upper back quite nicely, but in no way a substitute for pulldowns let alone pullups. Thats like saying hip adductor/abductor machines are a substitute for squats.

I finally got past my first plaetu on squats as a beginner. Very thankful for the loads of advice I have gotten here.

I was stuck on 195lbs but after simply bringing my grip in, it made 225lbs feel a lot easier. I realize now that without a tight upper back I have no way to transfer power from the hips into the bar. I'm now able to hit my goal of getting 2pl8 in my first three months.

But now I have a new problem. I am very inconsistent with my depth. Some are at parallel and some go an inch or two below. How do I train myself to stay consistent? Also, If I just want general strength before going into aesthetics based routines, how low should I shoot for?

Posterior pelvic tilt - aka proper form. From your video it looks like your form is good. But it is easier to have bad form when you do the abwheel on your feet.

the more you roll the wheel forward, the harder it hits the lats and tris, while it doesn't really change tension in the abs. So if you want to hit the abs. You need to be on your feet and roll only as much as you can handle.

You can watch a youtube video on PPT. It involves, activating your abs, glutes, quads, (and sometimes calves). You have to think about it until you get used to it. For instance as you are sitting or laying on the bed, try to contract the quads on one of your legs. If you contract it maximally you will feel something like pain in the quad. This is proper form.

I'd also suggest training your abs and obliques since SL doesn't work your abdominals. (sit ups are useless as fuck, crunches are almost as useless)
Training for flexibility is another big one. Imagine doing a bicep curl with an invisible weight of 0kg. As you curl the weight all the way up, keep curling until your wrist touches your front delt. This is what Flexibility training feels like on your whole body. You are going to sweat like never before, your body will tremble, and those 90seconds in which you have to hold a stretch will feel like hours. When you are done with it, you'll also have DOMS in the stretched muscles.

Do you thinks it's safe to do somewhat high intensity exercise after taking caffeine and Yohimbine? I thought I read before that the two are synergistic in fat burning,but because both are stimulants it's recommended you only do steady state cardio like walking.

Tips on improving my OHP? I've been stuck at 50kg for a while. My shoulder routine consists of one pressing movement and either rear delt flys or side laterals on push day. I alternate these exercises to a total of 3 push days a week. I'm definitely eating enough as I am getting bigger and stronger in almost all of my other lifts.

but this guy has bad form. Here is how you do it:

> pike as much as you can with your back straight
> hands should be in front of knees (unless you are super inflexible)
> toes pointed
> quads engaged to the maximum (this guy has a slight bend in the knee)
> now lift your legs without moving your torso (this guy is swinging a lot)

also if your L sit is with bend knees, and not like pic related, you should fix that first than aim for the V sit. (bent legs V is ugly as is bent legs L)

Make sure you're technique is alright and just keep going with it, it's one of the slowest lift to progress. Maybe consider swapping side laterals for some other assistance movement or another lighter press and make sure you're not always benching before you ohp.

Either will work. Personally I'd do one as a 'big' lift with a focus on progressing and the other with higher reps after for assistance and to keep your technique tuned, obviously alternating the lifts each time.

What's a while? Should be able to go from 50kg --> 60kg in a couple of weeks. Do 5-8 sets of 3-5 reps twice a week. Try to add reps/total volume or ~2kg each time. Also do tricep extensions the way Rippetoe teaches them, high-rep (6-10) cgbp and lots of upper back. eg:

week 1-
day 1
ohp: 50kg 6 sets of 4
extensions: 5 sets of 8
upper back

day 2
ohp: 52kg 6 sets of 3

hello fit homies. I am looking for advice on getting bigger arms. I am doing the Texas method 3 days per week right now, and on the advice of this thread, have been finishing each workout with supersetted dips and neutral-grip chin-ups, 3x12 of each, and have been gradually increasing the weight. I've been doing this for a few months and while I get a noticeable pump for a few hours after the workout, more permanent growth is still elusive. Is this a good approach? Should I add more volume? Are there exercises I should be doing that would add more size to my biceps and triceps? Thanks

MSH is a middle split hold if you are not familiar with it. The video is about how V sit is done with protracted scapulas and MSH is done with retracted scapulas. This means that L sit progression splits into two. You can choose to train for a V- sit and that's it, or you can train MSH, and eventually reach Manna, which is much more impressive than a V-sit. You can also achieve both, but the V-sit doesn't help you with Manna, since it is done with protracted scpaulas
