Jacked and Tan 2.0 is just a terrible program overall, It's volume for the sake of volume. Reddit is very easily excited/pleased so take their recommendations with a pinch of salt.

Personally first session back I drop intensity a bit, ramping my way back into things over the training week based on feel. You might be able to get straight back into normal training, play it by ear as you warm up. As you approach work sets just assess how well you're moving

It's a pretty much a peaking program. You will eventually be unable to build neurological efficiency fast enough to make gains before you grind up your joints. The body adapts.

Because it's not sustainable to do repeatedly due to accumulated fatigue. I say "pretty much" because it's actually a pure strength program in terms of training principles, but because of the volume you will be unable to add weight to the bar because you will accumulate fatigue.
So basically, people call it a peaking program because you make gains very fast but you can't keep it up because you have to rest a couple weeks which will probably result in some de-training and cause you to have to deload like an actual peak. Once you're at that stage it's smarter to just train consistently. Think about it like SS, once you start having to deload regularly to add weight to the bar, there's no point continuing on with it.
