melatonin helps

How you doin Veeky Forums, right now I've been in bed for 4 and a half hours, still no sleep.

This is what I get for not taking meletonin.

Ambien ruined my life.

OP, take melatonin and work on breathing and meditation techniques. Don't give in to the pharmaceutical jew, it'll destroy you.

I know it varies from person to person, but cutting out dairy products (and exercising every day) helped a shitton for me.

There is an absolute cure and as long as you follow it you will become master of your sleep:
1.First, you need Flux, the program for your screen and at night it should always be at 1200k
2.Second You need to meditate every day
3.Third and even though last, might be the most important, LEARN TO RELAX YOUR MUSCLES, PREFERABLY ALL THE TIME AND DON'T FORGET TO WALK MINIMUM 1 HOUR A DAY FOR GOOD MOOD
If you follow this you will change not only your sleeping routine but your life as a whole and its as simple as it gets

It's entirely degraded by digestion and has a bioavailability of approximately 0%.

Agomelatine helps. Sleeping pills help. Psychotherapy, breathing exercises, meditation and anything that helps you in calming the fuck down will help.

If you claim insomnia and haven't tried melatonin, you're a fool. I've tried every possible natural supplement, as well as some pharmaceuticals. Zolpidem was a last resort and should probably only be used as that.

Work on destroying the cause, if any, and there likely is

Only works the first 2 weeks

Already tried, it helps a little doesn't solve the problem and it will probably stop working after some months

That's as useful as praying or wishing really hard

Done and it helped a little doesn't solve the problem

The cause is my brain is broken and can't sleep

Routine helps a lot too, creating a ritual at night to slow your body and mind signaling it to prepare for rest.
>8:30pm
>if I have a load of clothes to wash, do that
>9:00pm
>turn off TV, if I was watching it, eliminate noise
>make cup of hot liquid, sometimes it's tea (no caffeine), sometimes collagen peptides.
>read until 10:00pm
>put load of clothes in the dryer, leave laundry door open for noise
>lay down, listen to tumbling, sleep

>tfw I always wake up after 4 or 5 hours
I can fall back to sleep again and get another 2 or 3 hours, but what's the trick to getting 8 solid hours?

Not drinking for several hours before bed. You'll wake up and piss like clockwork if you drink fluids.

It's not even to piss. I just wake up for seemingly no reason.

Read for an hour before bed

I cured my insomnia without drugs
used to literally make me go crazy, panic atacks and all
all I had to do was come and work at an orthodox monastery for a month
It's a miracle what hard work and russian banya can achieve together
Learning how to pray also helped immensely

Are you joking?

Fap into a sock (no porn) while laying in bed with the lights off, and put a box fan in the room running on high. You'll pass right the fuck out, and the white noise will keep you out. The key is to avoid lit screen, and whenever you do use them after dark, make sure you've got f.lux to shift out the blue light on your computer, and Twilight to shift out the blue light on your phone.

I heard sleeping cures insomnia, you should try and see if that works.

Give yourself tinnitus so when you're in bed you can't help but focus on it and then fall asleep

what these anons said

>been insomniac for couple years
>get myself on the therapy cuz cant bear it anymore
>trazodonum+ssri
>follow my routine to a t
>after a year im crescent fresh, slowly phase of the medicine, doc said im fine now
>no problems falling asleep ever since

You jinxed it now, gl bro

This is stupid. I have tinnitus since childhood and I crave genuine silence. This is the worst long run torture ever.

>I'm Cresent fresh
Bruh.
Memes from an era before gods even exsisted.

can you fix tinnitus?

try ghb, not even memeing

I considered suicide

Hey me too!
Have been asking people my entire life if they also hear the ringing and they dont.
Life is pain.

try therapy

im not even joking

Weeeeeeeed

Unless you're one of the people where even indica strains will wake you up

I startet to lift because of Tinnitus.

Tinnitus opened mye eyes for what true suffering feels like. To live with it is a challenge. An uphill battle.

But do not despair. It does get better after a while, but only if you chose to. You have to start accepting it as a part of your destiny. You have to find out what makes your tinnitus worse, and what calms it down. You have to learn breathing techniques and how to meditate.

Always remember "To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering"-Friedrich Nietzsche

This is your struggle. Fight back.

Where is a good place to start for meditation?

This might me the gayest thing I've ever read, and I read the Twilight books.
It's a ring in my ears its annoying at best but unless I focus on it I can drown it out with real noise.
Stop being so fucking dramatic about it.
