It should be updated and let people know bait threads will be banned.
Then actually get a mod to enforce the new rule.

A few of the links are broken, so shit needs to be updated at the very least

Information is still relevant but I feel it should be updated. would be nice as well.

The fundamentals of lifting and nutrition didn't change and I believe the point of the sticky should be to avoid fads and get to what's proven to work. However is right so some maintenance is needed.

I just wanna fug her so bad

I agree, however if that happened there'd only be about one new thread a week.

Info needs to tell people of the benefits of saturated fat, tired of the mom-tier fitness advice "That stuffs gonna raise your bad cholesterol!" Also should tell people of keto for cutting, and include HIIT cardio instead of describing it as "a constantly high heart rate activity" when it's constantly proven that high and low heartrate alternating in cardio is optimal for fat loss

sources? for HIIT

>leave this place
>beverage brand name employee

>saturated fat, tired of the mom-tier fitness advice "That stuffs gonna raise your bad cholesterol!"
Do you have sources or are you just shitposting?
>Also should tell people of keto for cutting
There is literally no metabolic advantage between eating at a X caloric deficit in keto vs high carb, everything else being constsnt

If shitposting was banned Id apparently leave Veeky Forums and finally focus on whats important in my life (lifting, career etc..)
I highly doubt anyone takes anything said on this site seriously and beside /fraud/ theres nothing, except good keks, I found useful in real life, or lifting alone..

There should be a safety warning in there abiut sauna usage

How are you going decide what is or isn’t a bait thread?

It looks like a dude. Ugly man face.

how bout u gtf off my board

>What are your thoughts on the sticky? Is it still relevant? Outdated? Correct? Misinformation?
Very Bad. No. No. Yes.
It is based on a very backwards and unintelligent philosophy/thinking when it come exercise, if you minimal effort on your searching you will realize that this is most abysmal point. When it comes about everything else it is as bad.

What if she eats ass?

Needs an update
Something about height growth for all the manlet threads

Half of it is obviously shilling
The other half is filled with terrible info
Most links are dead
They honestly believe they're going to talk the average woman and dorks who've never seen the inside of a gym and just don't want to lift into becoming fucking powerlifters.

>>What are your thoughts on the sticky? Is it still relevant? Outdated? Correct? Misinformation?
>Very Bad. No. No. Yes.

>What are your thoughts on the sticky?; Very bad.
>Is it still relevant?; No.
>Outdated?; No.
>Correct?; Yes.

appearantly recomping is a thing now so it should be mentioned desu

You're right.
But you simply will not put on as much fat on a keto diet vs a high carb diet.
Simple as that.

The average out of shape or fat ass person should not do hiit or even attempt it.
They're out of shape, don't have the joint integrity, and probably have a whole host of cardiovascular problems.
Even worse they probably think 5 minutes of jogging for a second then walking for 30 seconds = HIIT. No.
Basic Interval Training where you push yourself go at an easy pace then push yourself is better in every way for the average person.
It's basically how c25k works.
Also, people who've been mostly sedentary or are seriously overweight and or undertrained should start with long purposeful daily walks.

I fucked up :D

Thank, user you have a golden heart.

It gives salty fags an excuse to say "read the sticky" when they don't have an answer for your question, even though it wasn't covered in the sticky.

...

I checked out the Reddit's sticky, it seems a bit better than Veeky Forums's. No SL or SS in the programme list either, I do agree with that. THose are some shit ass routines.

lol someone didnt read the sticky

I did, sodium-sama

90% of the questions on this board are in the sticky. And those same questions have been asked and will be asked thousands of times this year.

>t. Redditor

Literally nothing wrong with SL/SS. And reddit is full of dyels, even moreso than here. I’d never listen to them for anything relating to not being a fat brony weeb

Go back to that shithole then
Me before reading the sticky and doing Starting strength

Me after reading the sticky and doing almost six months of starting strength

Except in your filenames you can blatantly see that the dates are more than a year apart.

>what is editing a picture to hide the face

Well I don't know about that, but I was looking for in-depth, empirically-based programming advice. People basically agree the sticky is shit about programming, so saying "it's covered in the sticky" just suggests to me you're one of those faggots who does that "leaning over to the side and lifting a 45 plate because I saw other people doing it and I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm going to do situps on the GHR machine because I saw other people doing it and I have no idea what I'm doing" faggots who has no idea what he's doing and just does shit he sees other people doing and is forcing me to reset the GHR machine every time I go to USE IT PROPERLY FOR A GLUTE HAM RAISE LIKE GOD INTENDED YOU FUCKING PHILISTINE

>Lying SS shill faggot posts the same pic again

Awesome shilling faggot.

Read I'm not shilling anything, if anything you faggots shilling brosplits, PPL and flavour of the month premium© routines since september 2016 are

Woah, zyzz was a hot dude no homo.

The sticky has all the basic info you need. It's not an end-all know-all like some people here think it is, but it's enough to give you your own hole to start digging deeper in.

People who don't read it are the true cancer.

Yes

>unhealthy, high in saturated fat
>The problem is that people over-consume saturated fats and trans fats, which raise LDL ("bad") cholesterol and lower HDL ("good") cholesterol, and under-consume healthy fats like monounsaturated fats (found in high concentrations in olive oil and canola oil) and Omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish, flax seed oil and other sources).
>focus on cutting saturated and trans fats, which contribute to cholesterol production in the liver.
>Contrary to popular belief, consuming a higher amount of fat (about 35 per cent of energy) is associated with a lower risk of death compared to lower intakes. However, a diet high in carbohydrates (of more than 60 per cent of energy) is related to higher mortality, although not with the risk of cardiovascular disease.
>The research on dietary fats found that they are not associated with major cardiovascular disease, but higher fat consumption was associated with lower mortality; this was seen for all major types of fats (saturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and mono unsaturated fats), with saturated fats being associated with lower stroke risk. The researchers point out that, while this may appear surprising to some, these new results are consistent with several observational studies and randomized controlled trials conducted in Western countries during the last two decades.
>The large new study, when viewed in the context of most previous studies, questions the conventional beliefs about dietary fats and clinical outcomes, says Mahshid Dehghan, the lead author for the study and an investigator at PHRI.

It's 10 years old and it shows, I want to shit on it for oversimplifying but then I remember how 95% of people on a Thai cartoon and pornography forum are usually overwhelmed at the very idea of fitness, so I'll let it slide.

I've seen her in person she's gross and fugly

agreed. the sticky info should be updated at least to fix the broken links or seek out new sources of relevant information. it would also be nice to have a disclaimer regarding shitposting threads and their consequences. this board is really getting clogged with stupid fucking threads that belong in the QTDDTOT.

it is painfully obvious to determine what is a bait thread and what is not. if a supposed bait thread is actually created in earnest, then it should be directed to the QTDDTOT. a considerable number of the questions asked in those threads lean close to the line of bait/shitpost threads. it is also incredibly easy to determine what is a Veeky Forums related thread and what is a /r9k/ or /soc/ or /s/ thread. all we ask is that Veeky Forums threads be posted here and that the rest be posted on their appropriate boards. tinder is not Veeky Forums, dating advice is not Veeky Forums, and the list goes on.
