I've tried that and it definitely fucks with form. Especially with you want to go toes to bar and get the best workout possible.

But seriously, if that's the case then you'd want to either start progressing towards hard versions like windshield wipers or do crazier stuff like dragon flags. Or just do weighted crunches.
