wow what a stupid post, must be a vegan

Most of it does, so...

No, red meat by itself does not cause cancer.

The CDC stated that PROCESSED red meat leads to cancer. They specifically focused on hot dogs, beef sausages (kek), and hamburger patties.

With regards to STEAK (not all read meat), they concluded that the most carcinogenic aspect was burnt steak (e.g. when steak is grilled and those tasty bits are burnt).

Saying "steak causes cancer" is ignorant as fuck.

Literally everybody has a little cancer.
Your immune system takes care of it.
Processed anything (including meat) helps feed cancer cells.
If you're going to eat meat eat grass fed, free range, no hormone, no antibiotic, etc meat.
And don't make it a huge part of your diet either. There's plenty of protein in other foods.

eating red meat is fine, eating in excess is not. red meat is very calorie dense so it's easy to overeat, avoid that and you're fine.

Red meat is high in carnitine, which is an anti-thyroid substance. Through carnitine it causes heart disease long-term according to many studies (google "pubmed carnitine heart disease"). Its high heme iron content also causes colon cancer long term. Even if it takes year for you to get cancer or heart disease from red meat, all the while it will be lowering your thyroid and that is plebian af.

The process of oxidation is what causes cancer. Meaning oxygen causes cancer. So now that you're equipped with this knowledge, are you going to stop breathing?

>What is relative risk?

>What are wasting dubs

Meat is a health food
Intake glycine to offset the methionine you ingest though

Breathing air, being in the sun, and being a human being gives you cancer

I'm actually pretty impressed by the responses in this thread, not too much retardted "no of course not".

Yes, red meat especially processed red meat in large quantities, does appear to increase your cancer risk. The more processed and the more often you eat it the bigger the increase.

Given the reasonably balanced diet I eat in most areas, the small increase in colon ca risk is worth it when I consider the taste, protein, micronutrient profile and cost of red meat. That said, I mostly buy organic+grassfed or hunt it myself.

Lol wut?
That's not what the study demonstrated at all. Theyre talking about histamine release from subcut injections. Literally no mention of CNS effects.

Pls user go back to school, get your GED then you might learn how to read scientific papers properly.

here come the cucks

That's a spambot.

>Processed meattrash lowers sperm count
No relationship was found for unprocessed red meat, poultry or fish
And...
Organ meat intake was related to higher total sperm count, higher sperm concentration and greater sperm motility (Table 3). Compared with non-consumers, men who reported consuming organ meats had 53% (34% to 66%) higher total sperm count, 41% (20% to 56%) higher sperm concentration, and 8 (4 to 12) percentage units higher progressive motility after adjusting for potential confounders.

A few years back a study showing that heavily processed meats (e.g. pepperoni) were linked with colon cancer. It got a lot of media attention.

But for context; the correlation they showed was something like an increase of 12% incidence with large intakes. Compare that with the correlation smoking tobacco has with lung cancer, which is an increase of over 18000%
