I don't mind anime itself. I'm a fairly big fan of Initial D, Symphogear, TTGL, and FLCL, but that doesn't mean that the anime boards aren't trash.

I listen to death grips, some prodigy or Juno reactor, sometimes grindcore, there are a lot of high intensity music out there that is good for lifting, as that guy said synthwave is nice too
