Weight isn't something that is the same all day everyday. Just noticing if I'm trending upwards or downwards is good enough for me but if you want to have an accurate measurement of how much you're actually losing per week you'd have to for example fast every Saturday and weigh every Sunday morning after taking a shit. It's not uncommon for me to shit 4lbs.

I ate so much the other day I was up until 5 AM in excruciating pain that hit me 7 hours after I had eaten.

I went out of control last week so I have to taper my calorie count back down. I was doing 1200 for a while, but I put myself at 1500 for this week in order to just get myself back on track. Tonight is the first night in over a week that I haven't had a night binge but I'm going to be up for another hour or so....I don't think I'll eat. I have a few things to do before bed.

Last week went to Vegas, with the alcohol I can remember I can count I drank at least two pounds worth plus whatever other garbage I ate. Just wanted a cheat day but God damn, never again.

Question fellow fats if I eat around 1700 calories most days of the week but have a large pizza and that goes over 3000 calories on one day of the week does this make the calories restricted during the week void and causes you to maintain weight?

Been wondering because I'm stuck at 117kg at the moment and when I think back I have been doing the above which I think is causing the issue.

It's just math. Calculate your TDEE which will tell you how many calories of fat you burn a day eating 1700 and how many calories of fat you gain eating 3000.

For example, if you have a TDEE of 2400, then you burn 700 x 6 = 4,200 calories a week. Subtracting 600 on your cheat day brings you down to 3,600 calories a week, which is still a pound (~0.5kg) of fat you would lose a week.

How long have you been stuck at your weight? It can take a couple weeks for results to show, the scale is very finicky.

Did you stop cutting for some reason?

How can I tell if my belly is extra skin or fat? I think it’s both. I can feel the fat still in there, but is really stretchy and elastic. So are my sides. Gaining mass is hard because I’m still trying to cut and I’m 6’3 skinny fat.

I can definitely notice changes in body fat and muscle but pretty much nothing in weight.

Yes. Weight is just a measure of all the mass in your body, it doesn't tell you WHAT it is. The fat you lost was made up for by newly gained muscle. Don't expect this trend to keep up, though

Or he's counting calories wrong. Newly gained muscle is usually never the actual reason why you don't lose weight. I get that you can gain a lot of weight in muscle once you first start, but I feel like even a pound of week is really pushing it for beginners unless you're really putting in a lot of work.

That's entirely possible I suppose. On the BMI thing I was only .5 into the overweight section and TDEE wasn't that high to begin with. So some consistent miscalculations could be putting me close to TDEE while thinking I was below it.

Around 3 months now I've been jumping between 117kg and 117.4kg, it has been annoying because I have a spreadsheet with the exact calories, measurements etc. for what I have each day including sauces and any other hidden calories and I'm still stuck which makes me think those once a week pizzas are what is doing it since those are 2400 - 3000 on average.

You should stay home out of courtesy to others. A few days off won't cause you to get fat, and by the time you're skinny, a few days here and there won't make a difference. Just keep eating at a deficit while you recover.

It's good you're still logging it though. My biggest problem used to be that I would cheat one day, feel guilty and no want to see it in mfp. So I wouldn't log it, and it would kick off days of me neglecting to watch my intake. Now I record everything, good or bad, and make sure to keep myself on track if I do fuck up. Been working way better for me, I'm only 12lbs away from my goal now.

When I’m really down I treat myself to a delicious home cooked pizza. I can make a pretty great one for around 1500 calories.

To begin with, you calculate your sedentary TDEE using the links in the OP and you then download MyFitnessPal and start just logging whatever you eat. You can then slowly begin approaching 500-1000calories a day under your TDEE.
You will lose all the excess weight just by doing that, but exercising is obviously recommeneded since you will look better and be healthier.

The weirdest thing about this whole process has been realizing that before, I didn't really eat that much in terms of mass.

I was eating a lot of high calorie stuff like chips and cookies that got me fat. Once I cut those out, I'm typically eating around 1000-1200 calories and have to force myself to hit my 1600 calorie goal
