They started building York in 1080. It wasn't declared finished and consecrated until 1472. We know a huge amount about cathedrals were built.

No wonder it takes them more than 100 years when they work with curved cranes.

You don't understand church logic. The project gets changed though time, always. They add new features Everytime as long as money keeps flowing, that's why even modern churches keep on being built and getting bigger, as long as the land supports it and donations keep on getting in.

Mormons are an exception, they have a standardized church and hire architects and builders to add features depending on land size which they construct like any regular building and that's it, since budget is usually up front, so no much tinkering after it's finished.
