Why don't people ever take you seriously on the subject of sleep? I tell people all the time that all it takes to basically never have sleep problems ever again is to just set a bed and a wake time and stick to it for 2 weeks (including weekends) and bang you'll never have trouble getting to sleep again and it's like they think I'm lying or something, or it can't possibly work for them because they're a special snowflake with sleep problems or something.
I had one cunt say he was going to see a sleep specialist then at 8:30 pm a few nights later he sends a message to the chatroom saying he was drinking a coffee.
Why are people sabotaging themselves like this?
Carter Howard
Normie's don't even consider sleep. They just nap and sleep whenever they feel like it.
Christopher Jones
Sleeplets never learn
Jose Parker
I've had people complain about sleep, I tell them to try this and they just act like it can't possibly work or they're unwilling to even try it.
Joseph Collins
The problem with addicts is that they dont know they are addicted. Caffeine being the real killer there.
Jaxson Rogers
Is this true? I lack this type of discipline, but I'm joining the military in a few months so I guess I'll find out then. Please be right, OP. It worries me a lot.
David Robinson
Lack of discipline.
Blake Hernandez

I have sleep problems. Is this true?
Angel Bailey
Actually maybe I should try this before joining. You really got my neuron firing OP!
Xavier Adams
Why don't you try it?
Ian Anderson
>bed and a wake time and stick to it for 2 weeks How do I decide how long I sleep for? Some weeks I can get away with 5 hours of sleep a night, some weeks I sleep for 15 hours. (I don't ever sleep 5 hours one night and then 15 the next, so it's not sleep debt or something like that)
Bentley Morris
different energy output on certain days?
Juan Harris
I used to be the type who would lie awake for ages not being able to sleep, I set the schedule, I fall asleep within 5 min of hitting the pillow.
that wasn't hard for me, I pop up after 7 hours anyway so I set it to be 7 hours for me.
I would say anywhere between 7-10 hours would be fine.
the main thing is DO NOT WAVER FROM THESE TIMES, at least during that 2 weeks, do not sleep in on a weekend, and if you're getting really tired don't sleep in one day because you don't wanna be tired.
Just stick to the times like a saint for 2 weeks and it'll be set.
Justin Green
Too bad I'm a 3rd worlder and the only way I can communicate with like-minded people is stay awake till 2:30 AM to keep up my online social life. Can't even nap too often in the day because irl social life.
Lincoln Turner

This is not always the case though. You might sleep in wrong temperature. You might suffer from back / muscle / other chronic paints. Your mattress and pillows might be old as fuck or wrong type which hinders good sleep. You might suffer from depression/stress that prevents sleep.
I know sleeping is important and having a sticking to a schedule sure helps, but just saying that's enough to solve everyones sleeping problems is just wrong.
Jack Brown
Just start with 8. That is probably the average and should be enough for most people.
Hudson Kelly
Are naps a real thing that people actually do? Im not talking old people, I mean do normie young people actually nap? I've only ever napped after a huge amount of exertion (wake up at 5:30 and play 3 hockey matches back to back) or when I am really ill, yet I hear young people talk about taking naps as if it's a normal thing to do. Is it?
Does Veeky Forums nap?
Jayden Gutierrez
Yep. A 30 minute nap is enough for me to recover from tiredness for many hours.
Like if I'm dead from work on Friday, go home, nap, go see friends.
Mason Mitchell
I could sleep 12-16 hours a day if I have the time to. I miss being a NEET....
Henry Cruz
I literally can't get rested because I can'T find a comfy sleeping position. I tried 3 (!!!!) fucking mattresses and all are too hard or don't sink in to support my lower back so I wake up with a sore back. I've been doing these glutes/stretches and squats and it's helping but I just can't sleep well anymore. I don't even dream.
The thing is: everytime I slept over at this girl's I slept like a baby. I went NC with her though and I don't really wanna initiate again for something like this. What do? Pls halp.
William Gutierrez
"Getting away with 5 hours of sleep at night" is bullshit. You are basically a walking zombie who's way weaker and stupider than the regular you, even if it "feels" right.
Just sleep 8 strict hours a night (this may imply being 9 hours in bed). Sleeping less is the equivalent of fat people eating shit and believing they have a special metabolism.
Caleb Williams
I do this often and it fucjs me up because then I can't sleep before 2am
Dylan Robinson
Sleep on the floor
Mason Rodriguez
i just keep tossing and turning when i do. Back is ok but I dont sleep through
Ayden Cook
Yeah, it makes sense to me but I feel almost incapable of napping unless I've done something completely out of the ordinary to tire myself out.
Plus it fucks with my regular sleep. I actually wish I had the power to nap because it would be really fucking useful if I could fit in 30 mins of sleep in my day and wake up feeling refreshed.
