I benched 225 for the first time today

I benched 225 for the first time today.

I incline benched 95 for 3x10

feels good man

Sick. I don’t have barbell bench because lol no equipment but I’m benching 60 dumbbells for reps. One day I’ll get there. But good job OP

Nice user. I used to do incline barbell but it was hurting my shoulders too much.

Good job, user! I hope to get there one day. myself. Only about 75 more pounds and I'll be there.

I just benched 225 for 2 reps today and the other day I OHP 135 for 6 reps on my 1st attempt. 1 month lifting seriously so far, you OP?

what is the bench equivalent of using 80lb db? im switching to SL because I have neglected my legs pretty much my entire time lifting, just wanna know what I should load up on the bb

Hard to say, barbell is a lot more stable but start at 160 l guess

OP here

It was my second week lifting. Is that good?

That's awesome brah. My max was 205 on my 1st week, so yah. I did spend a few weeks doing pushups before I got a gym membership.

Good job lad

So you've been lifting for about 4 months then?

How can you even hold 60 dumbbells all at once?

I pulled 3pl8 (2xbw) on Saturday, was a surprise gym session. I had woken up and watched a bunch of Rocky training montages for nostalgia and it put me in the mood. Previous pr was a shaky 300

He stacks them you fucking idiot

Oh, you.

I did 20 pushups before I went to the gym for the first time, I guess that's why I benched 225 for 5 in my first try

I was also 150lbs and 5'10

Changing from full body to a ppl routine next week. What am I in for Veeky Forums?

>mixed grip

Yeah, I try to double overhand as much as possible, but you try setting a deadlift pr after heavy farmers walks the day before

>2017
Not using hook grip

Seriously why the fuck. You guys all bench more than me but I can do 50 consecutive pushups. My technique is fine. Back and legs straight, arms shoulder width, elbows 90 degrees. But when I go to bench I can only do 150 lbs or so.

It's almost like endurance and strength are not the same thing. Also bodyweight.

For bench?

This

gtfo octopus man

How much do you deadlift user

>mfw so proud of all the anons making gains

grats

>tfw when almost at 60kg OHP

Pressed 57.5 for 5/4/4 last time

You're in for sub-optimal training

Do an Arnold split

good job bro. just wait until you can bench 225 for reps. it feels so damn good

>tfw couldnt lift for a year due to motorcycle accident and lifting bitchweight

was struggling with lmao2pl8 diddly and it hurt so I stopped doing them, other than that doing a 235lb squat and 115lb bench, shaky 110lb OHP, all 5x5

what is considered a good shrug weight? im currently doing 245lb 5x5 and feel like my grip is the one thing holding me back, might get straps soon

Gj man, hope you kept your form tight.
I'm only 35 lbs behind you, I'm coming for Dem gains brah.

Great job! What's your next goal?

Congrats OP, I hit 495 deadlift yesterday. Gains for everybody!

U fat :D

congrats matey

Was that your last lift for 1/2/3/4? bench was the hardest for me

I was just pushing my stomach into my belt, i swear i'm not that fat.

side effect of attaining beast mode

I bet you look joocy af walking around

>tfw I probably will see her tomorrow and/or the day after tomorrow and might finally get a chance to talk to her

> TFW 2 months in and still OHP 95 and bench 160...
Those are 5x5... Never tested 1rm. I'm never going to make it.

Conversion is about 0.35.
DB weight is about 35% of BB weight.
So 60 lb dumbbells means your barbell bench should be around 170.

those numbers are fine for 2 months my guy

Most of the people on this board who swing their dicks around like experts can't even 1/2/3/4 for reps

How much do you weigh?

Y-y-you too

Why has wojak got ketchup all over his face here?

how long will it take me to get 2pl8 incline if i can do 185x5 for 4 sets now

I thought benching 225 was the best day of my life, but benching 3 pl8s was something else, keep at it user, good job

225 what?

>tfw only just hit 2pl8 for reps after 2 years

this is such bullshit
repping 80 lb dumbbells for reps is immensely easier than repping 228 lb (basically 2 plates) for reps

Are you benching with a flat back?

Pls be careful

congrats man

I always use bb total weight plus the bar

hahaha nice gif

Bench harder benny

About a year or so in and I'm at: (in kg, 5x5)
60/95/120/150(3x5)

>nearly squatted 100kg 3x5
>failed on 3rd set, 3rd rep
fuck brehs, time to deload

>did 190 lbs for 3 reps last week
>Trying to get at least 2 reps on 195 this week
>Tfw 200 is so close

BENCH HARDER BENNY! He Just wanted to able to flex a 'cep :(

Did 275 5X5 for the second time yesterday
We’re all gonna make it

For bench

This
currently 185lbs at 5'9, Bear mode is truly the king of all physiques

Will?

>was proud of benching lmao1pl8 today
>still have so far to go

>579207
BENCH HARDER BENNY

Honey you're just fat

>one repped maxxed 140
>proud of myself bc I'm still small and it's good for my age group

lbs or kg?

>Age group
Unless you're a qt grill, fuck off underageb&

LONDON

I-I benched 85 lbs am I doing okay?

>stuck at 125lbs 3x5 after 10 months
just end me

do 5x5, eat more

>eat more
desu i've got no appetite at all and i'm walking close to 20k steps a day so it's pretty fucking hard, should i get a mass gainer ?

>shit talking mixed grip on a one-rep deadlift PR

you should EAT MORE

lookin T H I C C

You allow yourself to drop to the ground with the help of gravity. Fight it don't just relax when your going down.
Can do 100 push-ups without a break, not my limit just all I have time for and I can easily bench 120kg as that's all my bar can fit that's about 260lb. It's all about using your other nuclear to apply resistence on the ones your working.
Been doing body weight all my life and have constantly been stronger than any gymbro I've met.
