Is gaining 0.5 pounds a week considered ideal for bulking with minimal fat gain?

Bonus question: what's your favourite choc bar? Pic related.

patrician choice OP. its my favorite as well

If I agree to spitroast my ex which I hate with my best bro, am I cucking myself in a way?

Thanks coconut brah

If I take a hot shower than finish with the water icy cold, do I get the benefits of a hot shower or a cold shower? If I wanted to do it this way and get the benefits of a cold shower is that possible? How long after the hot do I need to stand in the cold? I usually listen to music and do a 3-5 minute song worth of cold.

Is porn still beta and toxic for your mind if I only use homemade porn I have filmed myself? Does it still put me in the third party roll essentially watching another man get off? I don't want to subconsciously condition myself to be a cuck.

One more bathing question - Are baths or showers better for mah gains?

great, but not the greatest

would you be ok with him fucking her anyway?

Just buy a fleshlight and fucking stop all contact with your ex dude

You could look at it like that if she was your GF but now that she's your ex you're getting sex you probably wouldnt be getting anyway, so no not cucking yourself at all.

If you DO fuck her but youre not in a relationship with her I wouldnt see it as a cuck at all, especially if you guys wingman for each other. It is likely he would return the favor in a similiar situation.

It you have legitimate feelings for her still and cant get over her than maybe it would be cucking yourself. Only you know the answer to that one though.

The thing about WATCHING porn is that you're conditioning your brain to be attracted to the screen, but possibly not the act.

He has a gf, we'd do it just for fun.
I don't have problems getting over my ex, it's more of a hypothethical question cause she's autismal enough to actually agree to such a thing without thinking twice.
No feelings, at all. We also wingman whenever we can.

I rate Snickers ice cream bars

>we'd do it for fun
didn't ask if you were doing it for fun, if you found out he was fucking your ex would you have a problem with it?

If he'd ask me first I probably would hesitate, but would be okay with it if I decided to say yes. If he'd do it just out of nowhere, I probably would be mad.

>tfw wanna de-fucking-rail my buddies ex wife and she wants to fuck me too but it would be a bitter divorce and I could never do that to him

She would easily be one of the 3 hottest girls I've ever fucked if I did it. If it was anyone but my best friend's ex I would just go for it.

But it WAS a bitter divorce***

mistyped

I decided to trust Veeky Forums for the first time ever and do Stronglifts but I'm not sure if it's right for me cause I'm not really built for strength and I've always just been ottermode.

Those are my beginning stats for 5 reps, pretty close to max but I was alone so I decided not to risk it
>weight 135 height 5'8
>bench 1 plate
>squat 1 plate
>row 1 plate

How long should I do this before just switching to exercises that will grant me Instagram followers? 1/2/3/4?

please answer OP's question i wanna know to

1/2/3/4 isn't the least bit impressive, it just means you have stuck to a routine.

2/3/4/5 would be a good goal if you wanna start IG. Anything less and you are just an average lifter and look like an attention whoring faggot unless you have a 10/10 face and body while you do so.

>sqwat is same as bench
>weight 135
unironically SS+GOMAD

ex fightforisrael fag here who got injured in afghanistan. My bench is a full plate ahead of my squat because I couldnt do them for 4 years.

Fixing that now though.

its normal to be pretty fucking out of breath when training legs right?

I end up puffing and panting like I've just done a marathon when I train my legs to the point I sometimes get a little light headed. My heart also pounds like crazy, but its pretty much only when I do squats and heavy leg press, any other exercise I'm fine.

I think I'm holding my breath a bit too much desu, especially on those last few reps. Should really focus on my breathing more

Brb gonna puke

Do you have a high heart rate? I have tachycardia and I get out of breath while training all the time. If you do a really intense routine it is normal to get out of breath for pretty much anyone though unless you are a good runner/swimmer maybe. Try not to hold your breath though. Breath in when you bring the weight down and out when you push it up.

I pinched a nerve doing a 2 plate squat some years ago so I stopped doing them, I'll get on the gomad.

I meant getting girls that would 'mire me, user. I'm obviously not a model, or a serious lifter.

What is a good routine if you only have a set of dumbbells and a pull up bar? I can't afford a gym membership at the moment but I've been doing bodyweight stuff for the past few months now with some slow gains

Than don't do IG. You will look like a tryhard attention whore. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but most people will see it that way. Would you want to follow someone completely average in what they do?

Not normally but I take a pre workout which has a ton of caffeine so that's probably a big factor.

I don't get any pains or anything and it soon settles down when I stop lifting so I'm not really worried. I also have pretty good stamina too as I used to do a ton of cycling and running before I started lifting and still do now and again

My Korean qt3.14s even qt'er sister left her yoga bag at my apartment. Is it cheating if I wear her panties like a mask an jack off?

I'm in a similar boat. Start by saving up for either a membership or a proper rack/bench/plates etc if you're better off at home with discipline. Hit up Craigslist a few weeks after New Years for cheap shit. For now do bodyweight stuff, pushups, planks, etc

meant qt3.14 gf's sister

...pls respond

At the end of the day and low on carbs, is it okay if I eat a sugary snack?

How do I achieve good back form?
I buttwink on squats and my back curves forwards on deadlifts and horizontal rows.
Fear of snap city is holding me back.

For deadlifts just drop weight until you can get it with good form than start slowly adding again as it becomes easy. Its normal to break form when you 1RM but you shouldn't be doing it on your reps.

...

dont spike your insulin, just chow down on some veggies or nuts etc

Take longer rests between sets (if you're working out for strength). During football season when we had to cram sets back to back with little rest squats and cleans would almost make me puke. Now that I'm out of it I take long rests between sets and I've been able to increase in weight and not feel like I'm going to die at any moment.

>just drop weight until you can get it with good form
I can't deadlift a broomstick with good form.

Bounty is shit. You're shit. Fuck you.

Okay bros, everyone in here recommends SS or SL, but the emphasis on legs and the posterior chain is a bit ridiculous. The weekly volume in SS is: Legs: 70. Shoulders: 22. Chest: 22. Upper back: 22.

No one wants to fucking look like that. What's an actual good beginner routine that emphasizes the upper body more?

Today was supposed to be my 2nd rest day and I just found out the gym I've been going to for the past 4 years is closing today. Should I go today since it's its last day? I'm automatically transferred to another gym btw.

post a video

Programs like SS aren't designed to get you big..
You do for a month or two to get neuraly efficient at lifting and refine your technique.

People telling you to do SS to get big are fucking retarted

You'll get the benefits of what ever last temperature the shower was. 3-5 minutes is fine

Shower is more sanitary

Why can I do 3x5 dips with body weight 85 kg and 22kg added but struggle with 80kg bench?
Bad bench form?

Would it be cheating if she fingered herself while wearing your dad's underwear as a mask?

What muscles/exercises will help me carry people in my arms?

Because dips target your triceps more and bench targets your pecs more

Back extensors, biceps, upper traps, wrist flexors, gluts, hamstrings, and calves

>gaining 0.5 pounds a week
Nigga wat?....it depends on what you're eating not the amount of weight you're earning.
I hit a classic Snicker (250 cal) as after-
workout candy.

Real question is how long to start an Insta and show the world I'm an attention whore, right?

Stick to calisthenics and push-pull (with the obvious limitations due to equipment).

>upper traps

Keeps your shoulders up nibba

Are there any good Minimalist programs out there that focus solely on the big 4? I want to emphasize those lifts and spend less time in the gym, while also having more time for cardio and whatnot.

If anyone could point me to a good intermediate to advanced program, i'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

iifym

No but it would be gross and I wouldnt want to know about it.

MadCow 5x5 or TM

Also if it was my brother it would be even less weird.

Id spitroast her with my brother id it meant I could have a ffm with her and her sister.

Are there any that are based off of 1 rep maxes instead of 5 rep maxes? I've never been good at figuring those out

Loaded Carries, doh.

Farmer/Waiter/suitcase Walks

Bad Form, lack of practice.

0.5 pounds a week? Isn't it better to do about 1 pound a week? You'll probably get way better strength gains.

Do NOT push out until your at the top, 9/10 times your chest will sink forward without you realising

If he has a gf, he shouldn't be sleeping with your ex in the first place fucking degenerate.

How is it possible that people that are 20 pounds less than me at the same height look so much bigger? I'm not fat and even if I were fat is more volume intensive than muscle, right? Is it because they are lying about their height? I'm 6 foot and 185. I honestly don't get it. This guy is supposed to be 6foot2 and 185... How does this work?

They could have a different frame or build, or you could just have body dysmorphia.

about body dysmorphia, is it normal I feel my arms are just average sized until i check in a mirror (where they seem much bigger)? Is this just an issue of for example looking at my arms from the angle at which they look the thinnest?

with hammer curls should the barbell come up until it hits my shoulder? it feels like I'm maybe not getting quite the full range of motion when that happens. should I try to pass my shoulder with the dumbbell? that feels kinda awkward.

should I supinate a bit at the top of the curl?

Grill here - I can only do 2-3 press ups maintaining proper form. After that I start shaking and have no strength to finish the movement.
Are there any compound lifts to help with this? Is there anything I can do to actually start making upper-body strength gains as benching alone doesn't seem to help with my push ups.

Could be depending on the severity. Your bis are also not as wide front in. I have a degree of it as well and so do most people here. Welcome to Veeky Forums.
You really so probably look far better than you think though.

You're probably not eating and not advancing your progressive overload enough.

>be me
>6'2, 215 lbs, Veeky Forums white male
>walking home from uni
>old lady is walking towards me, trips and stumbles a bit
>black guy across the street sees and smirks
>think it's funny that he's smirking so I smirk at him
>make eye contact
>all of a sudden his smirk turns into rage
>pic related
>I am crossing the street anyway because it's where I needed to go
>don't break eye contact
>he yells at me "ARE YOU GIVIN' ME EYES"
>don't say anything just hold up my hands and make a grimace like wtf bro
>walking the opposite direction so just walk away

don't really know why that happened. it wasn't like I meant any trouble. I just thought it was funny that he thought it was funny. I do it all the time at the gym to guys like if I see some stupid guy doing a meme exercise, and I see another guy see it, I'll like look at the other person and make the expression like "bro that shit is retarded huh"

it's understood yes?

anyway help me out I don't like conflict but I'm also not afraid of conflict so

I can flat bench half my body-weight (3x7), but I've been neglecting my upper back totally; could that be the problem?

I don't have this problem doing any other exercise (that I can think of), it's like I have the energy/strength to do anything, but that goes to zilch once I'm past the 2nd press up.

When I was in the military before they did away the the extended scale for PT tests i would always finish my chest day with a just the bar flat bench alternating overhand and underhand grips as follows.

40o
40u
20o
20u
10o
10u
5o
5u
Then count down from 5 alternating grips every set for 4 3 2 and 1. The whole point is to do it with absolutely no rest. You will reach failure with just the bar and it will be absolute misery. Adjust the numbers for your personal needs and maybe use a lighter bar since youre a grill, but I was always able to average about 1 pushup a second for 2 minutes with good form and I credit this because it was the only thing I changed about my routine after my pushups stalled even while my lifts progressed.

i'm doing upper-lower i made myself 4 times a week like this.
ABXABXX(can't work out on weekends)
but would doing strength shoulders on A and doing volume shoulders on B be bad?
i need big shoulders but i also want to progress as fast as other lifts.

you have body dysmorphia

>smiling at an old women stumbling
>thinking irritable black men are abnormal

Wow that sounds like it could help, thank you!

Would you say working on my upper back would help at all?

>not liking almond joy
Is milk actually bad?
Any gomadders here?

Training tris will help leagues more than upper back.

Got it, thanks user!

pls respond

Godspeed.

>hammer curls
>barbell
Fucking beast mode.

Is it bad that I hit x amount of weight a few days ago but cant replicate it now?

Supinating at the top is fine.

Yes and steal some equipment.

Take more recovery time.

Could be diet related too but almost certainly you just arent fully recovered yet.

Okay. For what its worth, I did manage to hit 5lbs heavier in my squat routine before I did deadlift. Could if just be I used too much energy?

Gross. Go and eat a real, traditional Turkish delight. Not that sweet garbage

Fatty who just started working out here with a PPL routine (inb4 muh SS)

I did my pull day yesterday and holy shit my chest hurts so much, it feels like I got beaten up yesterday. I can barely stand up straight and fill my air with lungs before everything starts burning

I knew I was supposed to feel sore but this is absolute hell

Do you need to take vitamins on OMAD? I heard you don't have to because your fat IS the source of your vitamins. Cause all I plan on doing is eating some 500 calories worth of fruits like grapes apples and strawberries.

Could be a number of things, but there is a reason why many people take multiple off days in a row before going for a 1 rep max. My money is on recovery. This is especially true with compounds. Not trying to imply anyone shouldnt do compounds, but keep in mind they work a lot of different groups and will impede recovery.

Its like that for a lot people at first. Work through the pain and within less than a month you will barely get even mild soreness.

No. You're eating the same amount, you're just compressing it all into a 1-4 hour eating window.

DOMS. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. It passes once you get used to the demands of lifting.

What the fuck is wrong with me. I can only 230lbs for 2 reps on sumo dead lift. I wasn't able to get bar off the floor for the rest. What can I do to improve my dead lifts? I fucking bench 195 my deads should be like 260. And is a belt cheating?

Ah so it's ok to eat 500 calories? Or not?

Oh, ok then. I remember the sticky talking about the difference of pain and soreness and I decided to ask just to be sure cause it's not sharp and it's spread all over my chest and arms. No pain no gain I guess?

Aye, you're on the right track.

When I first started lifting 7 years ago it was a lot more intense than I expected. Shit like just raising my arms above my head putting on a shirt was misery. It sucks at first but I 100% promise you unless something is horribly wrong it will be short lived.

Plenty of gains available without much pain. The soreness is just your body getting used to new activity.

New to lifting. I am slightly overweight, should I eat at maintenance or calorie deficit?

How overweight are you? By my idea od slight I would say go right into a bulk and take it all off later. Normie "slightly overweight" standards are pretty bad by Veeky Forums standards though. Pics would be great. If nothing else whats your h/w and lifting stats so we have an idea what we're looking at.
