I had my testosterone tested. I do stronglifts at least once a week, usually more like once every other day (with hiking or punching a heavy bag on days where I'm not lifting.)

My T is 491.9 ng/dL. My free T is only 8. Apparently this is the average for like a sixty year old man. I'm a 29 year old man.

What do I do now, Veeky Forums? Do I try to get my doctor to prescribe me a bunch of shit? Do I go the illegal route? Please help.

Are you overweight? Do you do cardio?

No I am not overweight. Actually I was completely underweight when I started my fitness journey several years ago. I was 120 lbs and 6'0 in height. I'm 180 lbs now.

Since I'm not trying to lose weight I consider my cardio the hiking and heavy bag punching. I mean, is walking up and down hills for a few miles every couple days not good enough?

Natty rest boosters. Your actual test isn't that bad and naturally you can see 50+ total test increase m but free test percentage also matters so toy better hope to see some improvement on that
Also ant shbg numbers? Are you fat?

I don't have access to any numbers but T and free T. No I am not fat.

I am already doing every natural I can (afaik) to increase my test. I get a lot of sleep every night (although not a great schedule, admittedly). I avoid soy. I eat a ton of meat and it's all from an Amish farm so no hormones. I avoid junk food - I never buy chips or any other bagged bullshit like that.

I'm fucking demoralized about this, honestly. It feels like I've done so much to increase my T naturally. You say it's "not that bad" but the charts I've seen place me at the average for a 60 year old man.

No I'm not fat.

How was your diet before the test? Drinking, smoking?

I've never been a cigarette smoker. I used to smoke pot some, not super regularly. I used to get really blasted drunk basically every weekend for a long while, and I regret that, but that was years ago now.

I do not drink or smoke anymore. Well, maybe a glass of red wine with dinner if I'm out at a fancy restaurant.

But how was the food? Normal stuff, industrialized shit or junk food?
By the way, how long does it take to get the results of the test?

When I was 120 lbs (up until about age 23 I guess) I ate a whole bunch of fucking bullshit and fast food and drank nothing but soda. It was disgusting. No idea how I wasn't fat - mainly I just didn't eat much, I guess. I drink nothing but water now. No soda at all. And I eat healthy.

Also if it matters I currently have a girlfriend that I live with. I do kind of "feel" lower T when I'm living with a girl (less energy, less inclination to lift, etc) and I do think studies kind of indicate that happens, but probably not to this degree, right?

Personally I went to my primary care physician, got blood drawn, and it showed up in the mail a week later. There are sketchier ways of getting it tested but I wanted to be sure on the results.

Iodine, oysters and onions my friend.

I thought onions were a meme.

I don't know man. I've been doing all this full-natural shit for so long and I didn't think I'd end up with the T of a grandpa. At what point do you just pack it in and get a prescription for T?

I should probably mention my testicles are undersized. They're like two mini-marbles in a big floppy sac. I understand this can be indicative of low T. Because of this I don't know if I give a shit about the ball-shrinking effect of T.

what time of the day did you get the test done and did you get adequate sleep before the test? Testosterone levels drop quite a bit after waking, so i believe it's best to take it after waking up in the morning.

2:50pm was the appointment time, so my blood was probably drawn around 3pm. I probably got up around like noon that day though. Yes I got adequate sleep. I work for myself and can sleep as long as I like, so I always sleep enough (8+ hours) even if I stay up way too late (which admittedly I often do).

Your free could be considered low, but Total T looks fine. Stop relying on that meme "Test count by age group" picture everyone uses to convince themselves they are low T.

> Stop relying on that meme "Test count by age group" picture everyone uses to convince themselves they are low T.

I dunno man, it's from a legit study as far as I can tell. More than one, in fact. Why is it a meme if it's from legitimate research?

Mate let me give it to you straight, you got anime pics saved on your pc. 8 free test shoulldnt come as a surprise to you

Each lab uses a different range and methodology to determine your value. So that's why you see wildly different "normal" ranges depending on which lab did it.
So comparing your results to those done at another lab is not really possible, your 450 might have shown up as 350 or 550 at their lab but would fall in the same relative percentile in their own range.

Basically unless you are showing multiple symptoms of low T you likely don't have it. Also you hypothyroidism can show similar symptoms so you should have included thyroid levels for reference. If you symptoms include things like depression/anxiety/fatigue it is also important to rule out other possible causes since those are shared with so many things.

>Convince yourself you have low t because of a meme
>Sit around feeling low t all day
>Dwell on it so much you get it tested
>Comes back slightly lower then normal
>Dwell on it even more

You know your state of mind has an effect on your test right?

OP confirmed soy boy?

> Basically unless you are showing multiple symptoms of low T you likely don't have it.

Okay, well:

>Low energy
>Haven't ever been able to maintain a boner while fucking hard - literally can only do slow sex - actually was prescribed Cialis for awhile because of my lifelong erection issues
>Have plateau'd lifting, can't seem to gain any more muscle or strength even though I'm basically lifting baby numbers (like 180 bench)
>Less sex drive than usual

Are these not pretty much classic symptoms?

I have thought of that, yes. I might get it tested again and try to focus on being super positive for the week leading up to the test. I generally try to do that anyway, though.

Har dee har, guys. I'm trying to solve the problem.

Dumb low t anime poster

i dont see the big problem. lets say you actually have low test and that its a problem, how old are you, worst case scenario you hope on gear, or hop on trt. More gains, more winning? Win-win situation

I don't even watch anime, faggot.

I'm 29. I guess I that's one way to look at it. I don't want to fuck my organs up though. I'm not trying to get Piana'd.

They could be but you kinda need to get your TSH, and SHBG values. Those are to help tell you if there is a problem with your test production or thyroid. Alot of people think they low test but just have thyroid issues. Just be careful not to delude yourself

Either way if you want to do it the legit way and get trt the Doctor is prob going to want to see all of these values to determine if you are really low test.
If they decide you are fine and won't put you on trt at all, but you still really want to try TRT to see if it will help. Then I will give you a tip that I know has worked for many people, really push your symptoms to the doctor. Say things like I might be in the normal range but I can't imagine that this is how any normal person feels based on X and Y symptoms i'm having. Never mention low gains or anything gym related, most Doctors will drop the topic at the point because they will assume you are just fishing for steroids for aesthetic reasons, keep it based on how it feels and how it is affecting your life(work, relationships, sex, etc). A few number of doctors will want to try to help you out at that point assuming they don't think you are lying.

Also really make sure you want to hop on the TRT train before you commit, some people regret it because of it can in rare causes make depression/lipido worse.
