Is it autistic to read in between sets for those brain gains?

Fiction? Deeply
Nonfiction is okay though

What if it's good fiction like Mishima, Dostoyevsky, Melville, etc.

Very autistic. You're at the gym, not the library.

30-45 seconds is not really enough to read a decent amount. Then again, I'm a brainlet who can't inhale large works in a minute.

Let me guess, you look at your phone or just stand there between sets

Why waste time when you can be doing something productive? And this way I don't have to make eye contact with anyone

Nigga did I stutter?
Fiction is people LITERALLY cucking you by telling you how to think

>resting 30 seconds between sets
lol

That doesn't seem like a very productive way to read a book

>productive
Lmao

>putting Mishima and Rowling in the same category
Get lost you fucking brainlet, that's like comparing your high school math teacher to Avogadro

yeah I can see that. I can't see myself getting too into a book if I've to stop reading to lift every couple mins. I think the reason phones work is because often it's just mindless stuff you're reading

>LITERALLY cucking
You're spending too much time on here, user

>nigga
>cucking
brainlet detected

I mean it's not the most efficient way but reading a good book is more stimulating than your phone for sure

Just put an audiobook, otherwise you'll piss people waiting for the benches

Wouldn't it be better to focus on lifting when you're lifting, and then read the book at a more convenient time, when you can focus on the content?

>otherwise you'll piss people waiting for the benches
Now I understand why everyone in my thread is confused
I'm actually a part of the H O M E G Y M M A S T E R R A C E

That makes it a lot less autistic, but still rather wasteful.
I don't think you'd be able to actually immerse yourself in the book in the breaks between sets.
Let books have their own time

>audiobook
what you need mommy to read you a story?

>it's just mindless stuff you're reading
For you maybe..
>big guy

this is like reading a philosophy book on the train commute. Meme tiersemidocus

I would say yes, give full focus to one or the other. I was just talking about the difference between a good book and the internet

yeah but non fiction doesn't work too great just to be clear

>reading Dostojevskij in bits
jesus fucking christ how much of a pleb are you

I've read all of Dostoevsky, that was just an example.
also
>implying it takes time to appreciate and/or understand dostoevsky
and I'm the pleb

If you can focus enough to read a book between sets you're not lifting heavy enough.

tell me how much can you read in 2 minutes ?
if you're bringing a book with you expect to never make it

Depends on the book. Probably a paragraph or two in a textbook, for a novel probably a page, give or take depending on the novel

what? i do this instead of listening to music and looking around like a retard and its pretty good use of my time. whats wrong with that?

Library or your own home is meant for reading, not the gym

>imblying i was talking about understanding

> Implying the autism here is reading and not the cargo shorts...
Or get the Kindle app on your phone, or better yet, read PDFs from ArXiv.

bringing actual books is a bit much, i just read books on my hpone between sets

>grabing onto artifact without protecting gloves
>thinking life expectancy is more than 5 yrs

sdalger pls

who tf actually sits and reads in a library, this isn't the 50's

Do it brah
Fuck the sad cunts
Fuck these dumb cunts
*flexes brain*
