Who /neutralgripmasterrace/ here?
Being a armlet and doing pull ups
Do all three. Pulled 120lb today, feels John Goodman
these feel just as arm-heavy to me, I prefer standard pullups because they feel like the most effort
Agreed
They're also the most realistic of the 3 movements, for those who give a shit.
>m-muh realism
fuck off faggot
You like it the most cuz its the only one you can do
>TFW real life isn't realistic enough
I do neutral because they hit the brachioradialis the most and I'm all about dem forearm gains
Mayweather always does those
Chin ups are way easier for me than pull ups. I can do 3x8 chin ups but I can barely do a 3x3 pull ups.
for back day I do pull-ups, neutral grip pull-ups, and chin-ups at the end then I can do biceps since chin-ups hits biceps
neutral grip is easier than both you fucking mong, so youre both a backlet and an armlet.
>le chinups dont hit lats meme
supe grip lets your lats contribute even more to the movement you cretins
well obviously, theyre easier for everyone
I remember seeing that close grip chins (esp ring chin-ups) allow for better lat activation. Can anyone corroborate this?
Bump
>new gym doesnt have a fucking straight pullup bar
By doing only vertical pulls you are becoming a thicklet
vertical pulls are good for all back muscles except for erectors and traps, heavy farmer carries are good for that.
>suck at pull ups
>suck at chin ups
>absolutely slay neutral grips
Is it just me or are neutral grips the easiest?
They are. It's because of the way they load your shoulders.
>try to climb over thing
>most things dont have 5 inch perpendicular handles sticking out of them
Pull ups are the most natural grip.
Climbing a cliff? A fence? Etc. These are all pull ups.
The only time you would do a chin up is if climbing a tree. But you can do that will pull ups too.
Wide grips are the hardest so I do them 2 sets to failure
Then I switch to neutral grip because theyre easier 2 sets to failure
Then lastly 2 sets of chinups because they are the easiest
Really blasts the back desu
i do rows too on back days I was just referring to my pull-ups/chin-ups routine for this discussion
>being an armlet
I only horizontal cable rows.
Should I add some lower back exercises then? Seems I’m lacking there since I stopped going deadlifts
Chin-ups are most effective for muscle development
Pull-ups are the more practical and natural movement
Just do them all, as long as you're pulling your weight towards the bar, it's a good movement. Close grip, tarzan pullup, towel pullup neutral grip, just do them all because they're all good.
Armlet Of Mordigigidi
Yes I too choose the superior movement of pullups in order to stay functional(tm) and realistic as I climb cliffs and fences using no other parts of my body than my arms and upper back
Yes,it looks weird when its thick up top and flat down low
Sure they are good for upper traps, but for mid traps and rhomboids rows are essential
>hurr easier=worse
Add resistance retard
have you tried doing a bent over row before you do pullups, and then leaning back a bit while you get to the pullups. I find that bent over rows warm my back muscles up
Chin ups are way easier to me familia
>Not just doing both
Why is this even a thread
Neutral grip = complimentary arm exercise you throw in at the end just because
Chinups = babby's first pullup, people WILL think lesser of you if you do this instead of pullups
Pullups = the main back exercise you should do
OMLETTE
what muscles on chin ups activate?
>>try to climb over thing
>>most things dont have 5 inch perpendicular handles sticking out of them
>people that rock climb practice at indoor places that have all sorts of fucking knobs and handles sticking out
>this immediately makes it a worthless waste of time
>whut
>since I stopped going deadlifts
Goodbye aesthetics
