Any Veeky Forums STEMfags?

How do you manage to stay Veeky Forums with a STEM workload? I'm studying Physics, and after changing cities and taking on such a workload, I've let myself go a bit. How do you keep doing it? I can't go to the gym anymore, but I'm trying to keep at it at home (weights, push-ups, rubber-rope, might get my parents' Elliptical as well this coming summer).

Also, we all know us STEMfags are also Autists, so how do you lose the V-Card? I'm ashamed of my 6"x5" dicklet, and I don't dare even try it. Is it all lost?

EE here

If you're 100% honest with yourself you're not studying 100% of the time you're awake, so there's probably something you're doing (like, say, browsing Veeky Forums) for an hour or two every night that you could replace with staying Veeky Forums. You just have to gradually work it back into your schedule

Can't help with the autism unfortunately, blind leading blind etc.

Just lift. Find out if your uni gym is gud or if there are good gyms near campus to save on commutes. Cook on weekends, you can revise shit while waiting for your veggies to stew.

Don't worry about dick size, girls care less than you do especially when the pants have already come off bc that typically means she's already horny.
t. 5x5 dicklet who had gf for 5 years

>6x5
barely 5x5 reporting in...

Chemistry PhD, I tend to go to the gym when I have samples that need to mix for 2 or so hours.

Planning on doing EE or computer engineering. How tough is EE as long as you develop a good work ethic?

Currently in CPE and lift/cardio 4 times a week. Best advice I can give is make a schedule, follow that shit religiously, and stop procrastinating. If you have free time and aren't lifting, do next week's homework, don't sit on Veeky Forums for 2 hours

>dicklet
don't fall for the size meme, 6x5 is plenty for most girls

>blind leading the blind etc

chin up lad, you sound like a cool goy with his head on straight. You're likely much less autistic than you think

I just workout on the weekends

Thank god this is my last year

It's not hard, you fucking loser. Geophysics here
You probably waste an hour every day playing video games or browsing Veeky Forums when you could be in the gym.

I lost my virginity while studying abroad in France. Now I'm marrying the girl, though.

finishing up aero e/mech e dual major

it's not that hard man just do your work as soon as you get it and budget your time well, i know PHDs who still go to the gym so you really have no excuse

brehs i'm in mechE, first year and i haven't done any homework, and haven't spent a minute of my time to study so far into the semester. how fucked am i ?

Just finishing up my PhD, got fat while writing trying to grind my way back into shape.

You'll get stressed and you might fall off the wagon every now and then but you've got to be prepared for those set backs, anticipate them, then minimize them.
Even if all you can do is go for a run it's better than nothing.

why do STEMfags always act like they have a chip on their shoulder or they have this immense workload that's unique to STEM? I usually find that it's a 17-18 year old who just likes to shoehorn in the fact they are taking a STEM degree.

your dicksize is fine by the way, women are notoriously bad at judging dick size anyway, they can't tell in the dark. anything about 6 or hopefully above is fine as long as you take the time to use foreplay and stimulate her properly.

A workout takes 30 mins if you really are time conscious, you have time to browse Veeky Forums, I don't see why you have to make this thread when you could have just done a workout instead of blogposting.

By not sleeping. I'm getting 5-6 hours a night which is definitely killing gains. My issue is I need like 2 hours of shitposting time to relax after waking at 6:30am, going to uni till 4 then into work at 5 till 10. If you're at home and your parents are sweet, weld up a squatting rack out of 40x40x3mm and just buy a bench press. Pretty much all you need.

Comp-sci, work part time, still manage to keep in shape. I don't socialise much since I can't drink anyway so the time saved there makes a huge difference. It's mostly about efficiency, I do everything to minimise the amount of time wasted, eg I go to the uni gym so I can go straight after classes to ensure that I don't waste time traveling to an extra place, I eat my meals while studying, do some of my lab work on the tram to/from uni. It's basically about increasing the efficiency of your time usage wasting time online is a big one btw so during semester time I don't use social media or Veeky Forums, i check my emails and messenger etc but don't waste time going through fb feed or shitposting here.
Also, just pay a prostitute man. I used to do the whole going out and trying to pull and really its just easier to pay for it if you can afford it.

I switched from law to comp-sci. I thought that the readings in law were insanely time consuming and went into it expecting that it would be a nice step down into something less time consuming. Nope. I think the thing with stem especially engineering and IT is that people didnt seem to expect it before it became a meme. You go into med or law you know you;re in for an insane workload but I thought comp-sci was going to be like most other undergrad degrees but the workload is pretty close to my housemate who is a med student so one part of it is boasting because if med students get recognised for their effort we ought to be too but another part of it is, at least for me, letting other people know that it's not an easy gig.

>"How tough is EE as long as you develop a good work ethic?"
For undergrad, it's not very difficult in that I've never met a concept that I couldn't digest with 30-60 minutes of thinking (I am a senior in EE). If you review for exams by *solving problems* (you can't just reread notes) you will get great scores. Many problems are mathematically quite simple, and the snags come from conceptual understanding.

Here are the classes that require more thinking than others:
-Signal Analysis
-Communications Systems
-Automatic Control
-Electromagnetics

At my university, CompE is EE with some of the specialized topics replaced by CS classes

look i know compsci is good for the advancement of society and all, but
>picking a field where knowledge and skills exponentially increase
just look at med and law, thats millennia of history condensed into those degrees. this will soon be compsci.

t. commerce/engineering degree, investment banker down under

stemfag here, 4th year master of engineering, theoretical physics. study + Veeky Forums + gym = my life.

the med degree will go on for longer and ramp up in intensity mind you, I guess it is a big step going from living with your parents but I know plenty of people who get to use the gym with 3 jobs and 4 kids, I think i've been turned sour from up their own ass reddit-tier stemlords

Was a total autist when I came in. Took some 7:00am conditioning classes, and hung around the sports guy crowd to take in their culture.

Make sure to dress good, get stylish 'douche' haircuts, and take care of your face. Don't act like a total beta and eventually you'll figure it out.

Biomed here. You only need an hour or so a day to stay fit. Max gains, maybe not, but be above average = easy.

My advice, don't complicate shit and learn to recognise meme level expectations. Sub 10% zyzz clone aint going to happen whilst studying. Just be above average and have fun trying to figure out how to acquire social gainz

ComSci here. It isn't really that hard, came second at my uni (0.5% away from being 1st) ... spent my time mostly paying attention in class, doing only the set work, playing dota, and fuck all else.

Now that I'm working and no longer live with parents it has become much harder. Normal day consists of 08:30 work, 17:30 home, 18:00 gym, 20:00 home and eat and Veeky Forums, 00:00 sleep. On the gym off days, its the same but gym is replaced with series/movies ... busy with changing habbits on this to make it time to learn the whole JS stack so I can maybe change jobs next year and specialize.

OChem here. Not that hard. I get up at 6 am for running, get to lecture at 8 and go to sleep at 10 pm. Six day week and on two days, I switch my 10 k for 2k5 on the sports part of the campus. Once every 2-3 weeks sauna.
It's not a matter of having the time but of making time for it.

Aerospace Engineering reporting in.

Honestly just prioritize, my health is my number on priority so I always get that done first, either lift in the morning or plan my study schedule around that. I’m lucky enough to not be working during the semester so after class I get to choose how to spend my day.

Also no cure for that, girls are a mystery my man. Good thing I’ve got you bros, no homo.

studying chemistry, stopped working out in the 2nd year, but still have a healthy diet, so things aren't too bad. I also do IF 20:4, it was hard adjusting, but once did, I felt great
Took a girl over to lose my V, but once she was in my bed and I kissed her, I realised that I'm completely not into her and basically lost all my sex drive, meanwhile, she is really getting into it, as we didn't stop kissing.
>Thinking to myself "how the fuck do I get out of this?"
>start panicking, but she has DDs and I never got to experience that (my gf was a chestlet), >got her tits out, play with them, >feelsamazingman.jpg
>"maybe I can do this"
>tell her to suck my dick
"haha, I don't usual- *gulp*
>she sucks me off and jerks me off, sometimes came close to cumming, but never reached the finish line
>30-50 minutes have passed, nothing
>fuck it, I will do it myself
>touch my dick
>numb.mp3
>MY DICK WENT FUCKING NUMB
>still have a massive erection, tell her to see herself out
>messages me
>"the door is locked, could you come?"
>"yeah, I wish I could cum"
>let her out, not a hug or anything
>she then tells all her friends that I'm a dickhead
Well, at least I'm not insecure about my V anymore

Switch to a standing desk... And bullshit, you have no time..kill games, kill tv, kill posting to bullshit forums...

I'm taking physics with calc 2 for the second time and I don't think I'm going to make it. Should I just give up with this major? I'm really embarrassed. I feel like such shit failing classes in college when it's never happened to me before

Also gym is 1-2hrs a day you can definitely make time. 6 inches is also just fine if you compare yourself to the average

What is your thesis?

I'm a madfag that in his final year. I doubt anyone here studies 12 hours. Just plan.

I did electrical engineering and did terribly, almost flunked out until I realized that I could just skip all my classes, have my friends warn me of any class-only announcements and learn everything online.

After that I started getting 80% and up on pretty much everything and had a lot more free time since I no longer had to commute. That free time was spent socializing, lifting, and playing vidya mostly.

It's a weird realization that everything they spend hour long lectures teaching you can be learned online with examples in about 20 minutes.

You are already dead.

>kill games, kill tv, kill posting to bullshit forums...
Not OP, but I have a 1TB HD full of comics and tv shows... I delete them, but I re-download them at a later date... Help...

Math/Stats here.

You’re just not very good at planning your schedule right. The two most important things to being a productive person is a good sleep schedule and a very regulated schedule. It’s really quite easy to find a space of an hour or so to workout 4 times a week. If you don’t have that time, wake up earlier.

Depends how serious you get.

I'm a computer program and work from home. I typically workout at night, and now go with my brother-in-law
It's fun

>I’m a computer program

01001000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111

Whoops, should have said software developer!
I don't program computers but mostly write code to make programs. I use iBM AS400

I was in school to do CS. I took Theory and Discrete Math and loved it, took actual coding courses and hated it. I’m not a Math/Stats double major

Sounds fun! What sort of maths is Discrete and Theory? Some coding is monotonous and boring so I understand that. Even though I do program, I can't just pick up any other language and start going. They really do call them languages for a reason.
Double majoring sounds no fun

Discrete Math is introduction to Combinatorics, Induction Proofs,Set Theory, and Data Structures

Theory really just expands on these concepts a bit more.

Imagine Linear Algebra applied to Computer Science.

I really wish I could enjoy programming but it just didn’t work out for me.

i get kinda serious before exams, enough to pass i hope. now i have some mid terms that i have to be studying for, but i'm fucking around. also i've missed like 95% of the classes, most of which had compulsory attendance.

can i still save myself ?

Interesting! Sounds pretty involved. I love algebra, but graphs were kinda meh for me. Did you stick with it?
Well it isn't for everyone! But if you ever wanting to try your hand at it again there's a ton of free places online like w3schools that you can do all sorts of different programming. Since it's a pretty needed career, places offer free training just to get people in the field

Yeah, learn from it. Start scheduling time to review notes after class every day. Don’t be a failure, take care of yourself, and be proud of yourself for accomplishments.

thanks brah, also check em.

i think my problem stem from the fact that i don't really like what i'm learning, i'm kinda doing it cus my parents expect me to, but i might as well get a degree

That’s always possible. I’ve had to switch my major a couple of times.
Chem -> CS -> Math

Sometimes you create false realities in your head as to why you did or didn’t do something at the standard you wanted.

If you’re doing poorly in a course I think it’s always important to devote a ton of time to it. If you’re good at it and you still don’t like it then you really don’t like it.

There’s a really simple normie book that I’ve read about studying stem topics and it really has some good points in it. It’s Called a mind for numbers

Do you have a family too or something? PhD in physics is not that demanding compared to say, a surgery residency. Suck it up faggot. Sincerely, a physicist.

thx for the advice, i'll look into it, i hope i wont waste too much time figuring out what subject doesnt make me want to kill myself

I've missed lots of classes too, and lectures, only difference between you and me is that I got serious a week ago. You can do it user, keep fucking around until you finally snap and begin working, that's what I did, I fucked around until I snapped and now I have a good routine with no distractions. If you are still messing around, it's because you are not serious enough yet, if you are anything like me it will soon come and you will fix everything.

This. Im senior in mech eng with 3.9gpa and i exercise 6 days a week and spend most of my day shitposting and watching sports. Its not even remotely difficult to manage if you arent a complete retard. Altgough, I think the STEM meme is pushing too many people into the field who should have been ditch diggers

Whats your major? Physics 2 is generally considered one of the harder classes you take in your first couple years

>How do you manage to stay Veeky Forums with a STEM workload? I'm studying Physics

Nearly finished my phd in physics:

During Bachelor and Master studies, where class times vary (I went for the home gym from the start for exactly that reason):

>Lifting 4x a week
>keep it variable but get 4 session per week in
>lifting times are irrelevant, I lifted at 8am, and I also lifted at 11pm, you won't make it on a fixed schedule
>also got some cardio in, usually running after lifting to use the caffeine form the pre-workout effectively.
>If uni later in the following day, lift 10-11pm, go for a run 0-1am.

During phd:

>more regular work times but still 40-60 hours a week
>Either skip lunch break (I still eat in front of the pc doing some work, data analysis etc) to get home earlier
>lift somewhere between 7pm an 10pm
>If I have to work late due to some stuff taking forever, I actually do a lunch break, drive home (10min by bike), lift, stretch, eat, shower and be back at work 2 hours later, then go home at 9pm or so.

I'm "looking forward" to do this while taking care of my kids... it would be hell without a homegym. And my homegym is absolutely basic, pullup bar on the ceiling which just hangs there and can be removed anytime, squat stand (adjustable for height, i.e. also for benching) which is standing in the corner which can be set up in 1 minute and can also be used for dips and a solid bench.

Majoring in computer science. I feel like after this it should get easier because it's more math rather than conceptual physics stuff but I don't know. I'm sitting at like a 65 with 2-1 tests left I believe

do you guys work on top of your classload?

I used to but it dropped my grade significantly. It doesn’t cost me much to go to school bc of scholarships so I don’t work now. I would really recommend being unemployed while going to school if you’re doing stem

People who say it's not hard. Are you doing well in classes? And are you building mass as well? I find that it's possible to do everything (eat, sleep, gym, study), but it's either all not good quality, or some suffer more than others

The fact you're autistic enough to fall for Veeky Forums dick size memes shows you'll never get laid you fucking autist

>you'll never get laid
I know...

>t. keyboard monkey whose not smart enough for his degree and wanted to LARP as a physicist in the OP so we’d sympathize with him because he knows STEM outside of Physics is lolworthy
oh my goodness im kek’ing hard

Is geology /stem/? Aspiring carbonate petrologist here

Did EE. My school offered me a yearly subscription at about 25$ a year, so I took it and went to the gym in the morning or in breaks between classes

my roommate got his BS in Physics and he got high and played Street Fighter for hours every single day

yes Science Technology Engineering Maths; petrology sounds like a lucrative field to study considering peak oil myth is debunked now. Go for it, just please don’t talk like you’re a physicist to people

Have a home gym but might buy a membeship to actually make use of my time better. I'm in nearly an hour before my lectures start so I could get an earlier train and lift or do it between classes. Issue is I hate having to work in with people or wait on equipment
>home gym masterrace

Have fun mudlogging

I'm not op I just did programming classes in high school and genuinely enjoyed it so i thought comp sci would be nice...
I'm sucking in physics 2 and was just wondering if it's a sign I'm not cut out for it
Was hoping to see if other people have struggled and failed but were able to get through it no matter what degree they are going for

Industrial automation here, robotics and shit.
Just lift.
I have time for lifting, having a gf and shitposting

>implying stem is hard
>implying Chad won't get a degree in Business Ethics and make 250K out of school while you settle for a salaried position working 55 hours a week for 60K

Why are you stem faggots so pretentious? It's not like you're smarter than the general population you just regurgitate facts like good keyboard monkeys.

ummmm, ok sweetie. Now hurry up and finish making that latte

...

I know programmers making 6 figures who probably couldn't solve the most basic physics problem and have 2 year degrees.

Electrical engineer here. When I was in uni I had plenty of time for the gym and work. dont know why people find this difficult to organise to have a few hours set aside each week for lifting.

I even manage to find time to excercise, in some shape or form, now while I work and travel around a 3rd world country.

>43751422 (You)
Its our problem solving that seperates us from the rest, not factoid spouting.

>Computer Science
>Physics 2

Holy fuck I know not a single software dev who uses Physics at all in their daily job.Shit like this is proof that people who come up with university curriculum are greedy, idiots or both.

Thats good to know but regardless I guess I have to muscle through until I pass. Im starting to go for my bach when I transfer but my gpa is going to look like garbage. Hopefully they don't take away my admission and I can take it again after transferring if I do end up failing. It also sucks that I had to take bio and chem

>xd

What, you don't like Midnighter?

This

biomed is a meme major get out while you can

just giving you a hard time user, I'm training to be a lawyer right now. I have no room to talk, i just know for a fact anyone whose not a physicist is a fucking peon comparatively and that I could easily be a chemist or comp sci monkey if I wanted to and didn't have any self respect

like cal 1, ethics, tech writing, other bs year 1?
