My knee hurts after doing heavy squats

My knee hurts after doing heavy squats
What can I do to help it? I have a spotter watch my form, and it looks and feels correct, but my knee always aches a bit. Deloading and working back up to that weight yields same results

Stop squating and stop doing leg presses.
Let the cartilage and the meniscus heal.
Think of it like a tricep tendonitis, problem is, you need your knees to do everything in your day to day.
Rest them for 4 weeks, do some light leg extentions and femoral curls but thats it.
And try to add to you diet colagen rich foods like a jointed piece of chicken and dont stop until that bone is CLEAN (skip the skin).
And maybe you could add one spoon of natural gelatin (organic or whatever) powder in the morning before your breakfast.
After that month go back to squating.
post results.

literal bro science

your squatting career is over

you would have to be doing something egregiously wrong to have your knees hurt after squatting consistently, like total fucking retard divebomb form all the time

more likely you are one of the many people who just have shit tier knee genetics

You're supposed to descend slowly?

Lmao you don't get more colagen by eating it numbnuts. You'll break it down into the aminos like you do with literally all proteins.

I dont feel sorry for you.

I had the same problem. I decided that the squat is just not for me so i replaced them with barbell hack squat. Knees giving no problems now. Back gains ar unreal and its a realy fun exercise

Depends on what you mean by slow. You want a controlled descent.

Time to switch to a safer, more joint friendly leg exercise. Don't destroy your knees because of ego or memes.

The knee is a big place, and you and your spotter may be wrong about what constitute correct form. We don't know what's hurting or why or how bad, and different problems have different best responses, especially depending on your goals.

you sit at computer all day
u stiff nigger
tight quads probably, foam roll em before

Cartilage doesn't heal. It smooths out and toughens up somewhat but the damage is done. All you are really doing is letting the inflammation go down.

t. user who has knee arthritis in his 20s

You might be pushing your knees out too far trying make "form" instead try to keep your knees straight and think open the hips. Your knees will auto push out but to a more acceptable degree

> mfw i eat 30 elk testes daily instead of pinning

Give it time to rest and look into buying pic related

>do 20 sets of 5, empty bar
>repeat two days later, add 5 kg
>and so on
>your knee won't hurt anymore
>and then SLOWLY resume normal training

All i can read is, im a huge fagot, im an ignorant swine and im going to spew my ignorance all over the internet and whatever i dont know im going to scream broscience.
You two fagots are like ignorant villagers screaming WITCH.

My knees don't hurt but they click like fucking guns that are being reloaded, should I expect trouble? I haven't even reached 2pl8 yet.

You are a sick puppy so normal body functions doesnt apply to you
user, i need protein to repair my muscles
>eat more protein
user, i need calcioum for my bones
>eat calciuom rich food
user, i need hemo iron for... stuff
>eat livers
user, i need colagen for my joints
>LEL NO

Eat cartilage. It is good for you.

Runner's knee. Talk to an orthopedic specialist. Cortisone shot is usually the best option.

MSM and glucosamin, that shit is a must for every serious weightlifter

How do you think I got this way? I've sprained both knees about 20-30 times each. They didn't just wear out super fast, it was acute injury stacked on acute injury. I'm very familiar with the:
>ow fuck
>stay off knee for a week
>limping around
>back to normal in a month, everything must be fine

Eventually it was getting easier and easier to fuck my knees up and I was having chronic pain. Went through a bunch of docs that didn't help. Finally found one that said it looks like arthritis, let's treat it like arthritis, and I'm making progress.

Tldr: cartilage accumulates damage and never comes back 100%. It's far better to avoid damage then to treat it like a muscle that you can damage and will heal.

Every non-competitive lifter over 25 ought to
>wear knee sleeves throughout the whole workout from warm-up to working sets
>get at least 30% of leg volume doing unilateral work, split squats, sled pushes, etc
>stretch quads, hams, calves, foam roll
>always have working sets in 5-12 range, never go for 1RM.
>treat even minor patellar or meniscus pain as sign to switch to hack leg press/Trapbar dead/other lifts that take weight off quads and anterior connective tissue of knee
>don't be afraid to take 4-6 weeks off squats
>walk 30 minutes every day (if you have a dog you should be doing this anway you lazy fucks)

Might be you're overloading the patellar tendon, lower the weight, get a medical visit scheduled, if there's the necessity, an ultrasound or a MRI of the knee.
Also pain location is related to the kind of injury, so is the type of pain (dull, sharp, diffuse, associated with clicking sounds, etc).

Love your knees, user.

I'm pretty sure this stuff is placebo but goddamn it works for me. I'm 37, squat every workout and my knees feel great. Did 305x5 for a top set the other day. 172# bodyweight. Thanks, glucosamine and fish oil!

I had an issue like this and it's because I took "weight through the heel" way to literally and like had nothing on the front of my foot. Apply the load evenly over your foot.

Develop knee strength.

How?
