If its just mild pain and goes away quickly then it's probably just that you were just stiff and should have stretched some. If the pain gets worse then that could be a problem

So how do you increase reps while doing a lifting regimen? Just find your max reps, then do a shitton of sets with about half your max reps? I'm at a loss here guys.

For me push-ups have always been extras that I do when I have the energy for them and I always try to do my best.
I usually do 3x50 because I'm lazy but I know my max is 100 reps. And even 50 feels good to me when my starting point was zero. Had to do negatives for the first week and then upgrade to knees-on-the-ground versions.

I have no idea how many people rest their tongues on the roof, but I think it's less than 50%. I'm guessing that most people have the tip of their tongue on the roof, just behind the top front teeth, but that's not the same as having your entire tongue up there.
