pop a multivit here and then, if you start fasting not malnourished you should be fine. Had my bloodwork done after a 7 day fast w/ no real issues and i didn't take any multivits, just snekjews

Normally when the body is starving (as in really hungry) even shit food tastes delicious. I've legitimately eaten shittier food before this. What a new revelation. I'm probably going to do a 2 day fast later this week after regaining some lost strength.

Fasted for 24 hours and then tapped out recently. My hunger pains were too much. Also I actually had a fucking dream about ribs and some weird salami cheeseburger. I'll try again next week.

Just realized I've been fucking myself by drinking unsweetened herbal teas on the first four days of my fast.

Today will be day 5 and I'm switching to water (snake juice) only.

I wish more people would talk about autophagy when it comes to fasting. The only reason I'm interested in this is for helping to get rid of some loose skin and light stretch mark scarring as I was a former fatass but now my BMI is a flat 21.0 after a year of CICO

All shit except for plain water has to be processed by the liver and technically breaks the fast. Caloric value doesn't matter.

good levels of vitamin d and zinc will improve your mood and increase your test. if you're a purist you won't take vitamins during a fast (see ) but if you're fair skinned you can get extra D by spending 10 minutes in the sun.

kind of, it depends. Sometimes I have a vicious shit if I break my fast with something not so great for ya, other times i just don't shit for a day and then the next day is hell on my asshole.

Anyone else angry during their fasts? I just feel so irritable and my mood is generally shittier. Maybe my life is just garbage and dopamine from food is the only thing keeping me from truly realizing it.

Though actually I should reiterate it goes by % of body weight lost not actual poundage so if you kept up your weight loss for this month and joined us you'd still be doing fine unless december was all you needed to become hungry skeleton.

Same to you, i'd like to just keep going until my goal is reached but skipping out on christmas dinner is a bit too much, will probably eat light and keto though so not much of a setback.

As long as you stay keto, the only thing you're "lose" is the extra poundage that day and autophagy.

Thats making things unnecessary hard for you. Did it once, too. There was always a strong hunger. Try cutting sugar or even carbs for a day or two before your fast. That wont spike your blood sugar and makes fasting a lot easier.

I've gone from 185 to 175 in a little over two weeks with two 48 hour fasts and IF on other days.

Feels pretty good; I'm already at a comfortable target weight, but I'm going to keep going since I still have bitch tits.

Is dry fasting something that should only be attempted after "normal" fasting for a while? I'm currently on a ADF schedule, and my idea is to incorporate the occasional dry fast (every few weeks).

That's pretty good but if you're going to be spiritual like that you have to go monk mode which is nofap/noporn + fasting

Your body will start to break down protein for glucose after gyclogen is depleted and ketosis begins. This will continue to happen as long as you don't eat. This doesn't necessarily mean the muscle that you want to retain, but also dead skin, scar tissue, etc.

Moderate exercise and not eating protein will help save muscle during your fast or ketogenic diet.

Real mastic gum is virtually calorie free, just watch out if you have fillings.

Hey guys, I have a dilemma.

My current plan is fasting 24 hrs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Should I lift on my fasting days, or lift on my non-fasting days?

Pros of lifting on fasting days: Autophagy
Pros of lifting on non-fasting days: Can eat protein-heavy meals.

Can't decide which is more optimal.

Just finished my first fast, broke it today at 14 days since I wanted to refeed slowly for Christmas parties and such. Breaking with some bone broth, watermelon, and some kimchi.

SW: 248.1 lbs
CW: 224.4 lbs

Physically: Was easier for me than most because I was a wrestler in HS and college and I'm used to starving, but I'm sure you can all pull it off. Felt pretty good during the fast, did some macebell workouts week 1, but switched to light walking and elliptical for week 2. Snake juice and potion isn't all that bad, don't chug it or you'll get liquid shits.

Mentally: I was a little more irritated than usual, shorter temper, I have a genuine hatred for fat people now whereas before I just didn't like them. More focused at work.

I'm expecting to refeed up to 230-235, which is fine. Goal point is to fast until 155 then refeed to 165-175, I'll be starting that on New Year's Day once all the family is gone.

I recommend starting with a 48 hour fast; you'll get into ketosis quick. If you're like me, you can even eat a fair amount of carbs on OMAD without leaving ketosis for long.

I ate 4 slices of pizza the other night and my keto strips never went below medium. It is a lagging indicator, but at the very least I was back in ketosis within hours rather than days.

Currently 100 hours into a snake juice fast. Gonna try to go until I see abs and then I'll post my progress pics in /FAST/. I have gyno, rosacea, and keloids on my back so I'm considering dry fasting to see if it will get rid of these. Anyone have any experiences with fasting and gyno/rosacea/keloids? The keloids on my back appear to be shrinking on my snake juice fast.

Food before the gym means a longer workout

A longer workout means more calories are needed on your rest/repair days.

Just do yourself a favor and Finnish up with some cardio, 30 minutes if you can muster, as you want to finnish off the calories you consumed before working out before you begin repairing.

This is what I do but there will be disagreements because it is Veeky Forums after all.

Snake Juice:
- 1tsp pink rock salt
- 1tsp no salt / diet salt / potassium chloride
- Mixed in 1L of water
- 1-2x a day, plain water after if still thirsty

Snake Potion:
- 1 tsp organic apple cider vinegar
- Lemon juice (I squeeze half a lemon)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- In a cup of water, rinse teeth thoroughly with plain water after
- 1-2x a day, not really compulsory

Other things I drink: Unsweetened tea, black coffee (max one a day), water, mineral water. Maybe a coke zero once on like a third day but this is not recommended.

I lift weights at a slightly lower intensity than I would normally, and try to keep my cardio light and extended rather than hard and fast (being cautious about fasting impacts on heart if you get the salt balance wrong)

Other things I do for 3+ days:
- Multivitamin and Zinc
- Magnesium Supplement

Down 10kg in 20 days.
