same as bench

nice digits
also dips of any kind are just an extra

there's no reason why they can't be your main chest exercise

Bump

Bump

Bench Monday (of course)
Dips Wednesday
Press Friday

All 3x5 with linear 5# increases, 10# on bench if you're a big guy for you

Or maybe mix it up, 5x5 week, heavier 3x5 week, heaviest 1x5 week, deload week. And they don't need to all be the same, i.e. bench could be on 1x5 when press is 5x5 or something

There's absolutely no reason not to bench

So im doing a 3 day full body

What ive been doing so far for presses was

Day 1
5x5 w dips
4x8 ohp

Day 3
Same

And i add weight every sessiom

I cut bench out because i wanted to do dips since i got fed up with bench.
Would it be too much to do push presses and more dips on day 2 or should i keep it as it is?

Is that a cute girl and is she in a need for help?

yes

Made for bbc

What abou if you only have one arm. That's a pretty good reason, I'd say.

oh god i wish that were me

10 posts too late gayboy

Not hard to do if you aren't a weakling

If you can do dips with 1 arm then you can do dumbbell benchpress with 1 arm.

How do you even balance a one armed dip?

NO bench?! How about meet us halfway and do this:

>Monday
5x5 weighted dip
4x8 the Press

>Wednesday
5x5 push press
4x8 bench

>Friday
5x5 the Press
4x8 weighted dips

Don't dips fuck up your shoulders?

If you have bad mobility yes
Once i started doing a lot of shoulder mobility stretches i felt fine

Yeah i was thinking of doing push press and pause bench on day 2, but i want to add weight every session for dips so i am worried about recovery

Don't. Progressing weight on dips as a primary movement is a virtually guaranteed way to injure yourself, dips almost always lead to injury when trained with the scheme of a conventional barbell movement.

This is why they are always secondary, and the bench press is dominant.

Even Rippetoe accepts this in athletes he programs the dip for. Eventually it will lead to discomfort and injury, and will be phased out.

Bump

Why bump this thread is over

Because no one here has mentioned how they program dips as a main excersise
