The most difficult question on Veeky Forums right now

What is the correct way to deadlift?

It's entirely dependant on your arm, leg, and torso lengths as well as your own individual hip morphology and internal leverages.

neutral spine, bar on the floor against legs, stand up tall in one smooth motion

So, you're agreeing that this is a very difficult question to answer.

As long as your back is straight and you aren't doing that sumo shit it's fine, alright?

Neutral spine is a meme

What did he do wrong here that caused the bicep to tear?

I'm saying that there is no right way to deadlift the right for all people. Most people's deadlifts are going to look different because of those and their stance width.

The correct way is the way Pavel Tsatsouline teaches:

Pavel makes up a story of everything he's teaching, but this advice is really solid. Literally the best cues I found.

>look up at the ceiling for the duration of the lift
>keep your lower back arched
>looks more like an SLDL than a proper deadlift

Almost, not terrible though.

Wrong.

You tie straps from the plates to your shoulders and flail from there.

>tfw day 92 of nodeadlift

>conventional is the only deadlift worth perfecting and get strong at.
stiff leg deadlifts are a beautiful accesory movement.
russian leg curl for dat mind muscle conection.
>thick and somewhat lean hamstrings get me hard as glass.

>aren't doing that sumo shit

There is literally not much of a difference between sumo and conventional deadlift techniques.

>but shorter ROM huehue
Not a legitimate argument.

jay is made for gay

Steroids.

>back straight
>stand up

Where is page 90?
Discussing the actual lift is missing, ans arguably the most important part of DL.

>deadlift is designed to train back
>does it so it trains legs

sup Alex

Im now doing raised deadlifts to get better form. No problems here so far

With a trap bar, unless you're a powerlifter.

>deadlift is designed to train back
It's designed to train the hip hinge. The primary mover is the glutes, son.
