Disagree with this totally. I think Ghosts is up there with TDS in terms of sound design, and their soundtrack work is amazing. He's just matured and evolved, which is preferable to him being like Marilyn Manson or someone who's just doing the same shit over and over.

The sound design is not the problem. He still makes very good music and he has more talent in his little finger than 5 other "musicians" combined. In fact from a technical standpoint he only got better. It is just not groundbreaking anymore. Yes, he got older and more mature but that is not the real problem. The problem is that he is the very model of the emotionally broken musician who channels his issues through his music. Now that his life is more stable his music lost a lot of feeling in my opinion.

I think their soundtrack work has definitely been groundbreaking, at least in relation to all the other soundtrack work being done today. As far as the feeling in his music goes, I think it's all still there, but it's just mutated and changed into something a little different. I've always felt that from Broken through The Fragile, there was always something a little calculated about the emotional aspect of the music, like it's 50 percent image and 50 percent genuine feeling, but I'm not the best judge of that I suppose, since I've always been more into the sound design side of his work rather than the lyrics.
