Every board is shit. They're all arguably the worst place to go on the entire internet for their own subject matter. The only singular advantage of Veeky Forums is the curt frank honesty afforded/incentivized by anonymity and impermanence, and that doesn't matter even half the time because more than half of discussions are off topic, usually either soft core porn or feels, and the same anonymity allows anybody to write anybody else off as anything they can think of. Everybody who disagrees with anybody is a shill and the only thing left afterward is an echo chamber to rival tumblr on any given subject, and the staff doesn't do anything about anything unless it offends them personally (looking at you Redwood). There's no reason for anyone to come here, except that everywhere else is worse, in the sense that likes and upvotes gamify appeal to the lowest common denominator and consequent insincerity and self censorship which destroys discussion just as effectively as anonymity. Realistically we should all turn our shit off and go outside but outside is fucking awful and we'd rather post soft core porn and feels. There are no high test boards. Post nearly nude photos of fit men or fuck off.
