Symmetric Strength

Only need 3 more kg on my estimated 1rm OHP for full green man, also haven't squatted in a month which means my lower body lifts don't actually count

Nice to see you entering intermediate stage. I'm somewhat at the same weights expect my deadlift 1RM is 10-15% "too much" and my bench is 10-15% too little, lol. Regards, lanklet

>tfw just hit the blue man

24, 175cm, 75kg
Three months lifting

>squat: 72kg
>front squat: 60kg
>diddly: 102kg
>bench: 52kg
>incline bench: 45kg
>dip: 10 reps
>ohp: 37kg
>pendlay: 55kg

...

>not doing rows and/or pullups
never gonna make it, backlet

I do Yates rows and cable pulldowns

>yates rows
You mean idiot rows?

yates rows focus mostly traps, at the expense of lats, you do know this, right user?

those stats in 3 months? holy fuck user, you need to start eating more

pic is me after 8 months

I know I know, but I eat as much as I can
>tfw doesn't remember eat

Isn't that decent for three months

What can I say, I love traps.

idk man, seems low to me, when i started lifting i had 's stats, deadlift doubled, the rest literally tripled.. maybe he has bad luck genes, maybe i have good ones, idk

>can't be all blue because of shit dips

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Depends entirely on where you started.

The dude ur replying to is probably lying, but if he overhead pressed 98kg after 8 months, he was probably able to press at least 80kg when he started

actually it was 60

I'm just insecure because I'm weak as fuck, lifting for three weeks
>18y/o, 6'3", 176 lbs
>143 lbs DL
>105 lbs pendlay row
>94 lbs BP
>69 lbs OHP
>121 lbs squat

just eat alot
you should be able to add 2.5kg to an exercise everytime you do it, if not, eat more
i could add 2.5 every time i OHP'd all the way from 5x5 40 to 5x5 70, so for the most part it shouldnt be too hard

Well my first stats I have writen down eas these

>squat: 40kg
>diddly: 80kg
>bench: 40kg
>ohp: 20kg
>pendlay: 20kg

im gonna be honest here
people on this board will tell you Stronglifts 5x5 is shit,
but its honestly really good
got me from my 1/2/3/4 to 2/3/4/5 in less than a year, so trust me, do that, thank me later

and dont forget to stuff your face

I'm doing Phrak's Greyskull LP + ~5x5 chins per day on a bar I have at home
Is PGSLP too little volume? My workout can be done in often under 45 minutes, but I can add weight on the bar every time so far

I use GSLP:

Warm-up: chin-ups and pull-ups

is that 8 months as a complete newbie, or were you somewhat active before? If so, very impressive

did u do a 8 month bloat? whats ur bodyweight and height atm?

3x5's seem really low to me, but maybe im just stuck in my routine of 5x5, idk

as a child i used to climb trees alot, been a freerunner for a while, but before i started lifting i did nothing for a year do to a shoulder injury.
Pre-Stronglifts stats were 1/1.5/1.5/2 or so
shoulders have always been my strongest

i guess it was a bloat lol, at the end my stats were:
2/3/4/5, 26y/o, 5'10, 97.1kg, 94cm waist
so kinda fat
am now on a keto cut, been 4 weeks in,
strength is still the same, but am now 90.5kg, 89cm waist

Implying most gym goers ever see these kinds of numbers, like 2plates front squats and overhead presses, even for 1RM. You're simply somewhat gifted.

2pl8 ohp, i gotta admit, is a personal feat, i would like to be able to do 3pl8 some day, but im afraid i cant get there without roids, which i refuse
2pl8 front squat shouldnt be that big a lift tho, i've seen people front squat 3.5pl8 in my local gym

your suboptimal progress can be attributed to your front squatting, incline benching and dipping. you're a beginner, you don't need to do these exercises.

Your man is teal, OP
Keep it up

Tfw DL feels weak as shit but apparently is on the same level as your other lifts
Guess that's how it is

tfw want to cut but also addicted to gaining strength

>no boob gains
its like you're trying not to make it

London

>muh genetics

I said somewhat gifted which doesn't imply it's all genetics. You may not see that many 2plate front squats because people simply avoid the exercise, but according to the site a 2plate overhead press is exceptional for a 80kg guy and proficient for a 90kg and so on.

My floor pulls are absolute shit

soon I will be the green man

I don't think so, I add front squats and incline bench just at this week. My squats stalled and instead deload I though I try alternate between variations. Why no dips? Dips hit my chest more than bench, or that's how I feel at least.

>3x5's seem really low to me, but maybe im just stuck in my routine of 5x5, idk

It's 2x3 and 1xAMPRAP. When I was looking program, SL was one choise. But 5x5 sounds kind of high. I thought you can hit higher weights with 2x3, 1xAMRAP than with 5x5. It's more flexible way.

I will forever be a t-rex

bet yall dont even train head.

but the 2x3 is for strength, and then a hypertrophy set
so basically only 2 sets to build strength, which is pretty low if you ask me
