The fellas at Strava (a fitness app who I just heard about today for the first time) just created a heat map of its users activity (mainly cycling and running)
the shit is cool af, because you can tell where people cardio in your zone, the most common routes for starters, or basically where to find all the cardio-bunnies in your area

This site is pretty neat. I'm at a small college in the woods but it's cool you can see the track and the running trails.
