I've only had sweet potato oven baked and drenched in oil which is fantastic but only a once-in-a-while thing. How does Veeky Forums prepare them?

Oven is best, cos the juices dripout and it caramelizes. So fucking good.

Chop into 1-inch cubes
Toss with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder and coriander
Bake at 375F for 30-40 mins, flipping halfway thru

Pierce, microwave 7 minutes, peel, mash with fork and salt. That's all you need

by juices you mean starch? usually i soak my diced potatoes in cold water, when the water is whiteish i remove them and grill them in a hot pan with coconut oil, butter and rosemary

1. fry union and garlic in pan for 5 minutes
2. add 1 peeled sweet potato, 2 chopped carrots and a chopped bell pepper to the pan and fry for another 9- minutes
3. add 750 ml of vegetable broth and let it simmer for another 20 minutes
4. blend the shit out of it with a stick blender and add some salt pepper and cayenne pepper
5. serve after letting it simmer for another 5 minutes or so. pairs really well with some meatballs and parsley

It's based off a single study that showed a group of people with exceptionally long lifespan had a diet primarily consisting of sweet potatoes. Who knows what other factors contributed, but it did seem like there was at least a correlation. They certainly aren't bad for you and they taste good, so eat up.
