Do a smaller, circular dining table. Don't make everybody face the same direction for one of the most social things you can do at your place.

I doubt there will be enough room for so many sofas, given the size of the tub in the bathroom as reference. You might get a single sofa on the long end, but do a single seater instead of the other two. Don't be surprised if you can only get one small sofa in.

I'd also swap where the desk, carpet and wardrobe are with the tv area. If you put a corner desk (usually only needing 3'x3') there, between the window and the right wall, you'll have more space for a wardrobe unit next to it, and the tv stand next to that. That entire wall should be used for "stuff", instead of leaving any space against it open - maximize use of that wall. Put the sofa a little closer to the tv stand, so it doesn't block the entrance way either, with a little space to walk between it and the bed.

From there, you'll have enough space to bring the kitchen table out into the open, instead of taking up space in the kitchen itself. It would also put the most social area in front, with the second most social area (dining table) right in behind, which I think would give a better feel.

On a quarter (basically trimester) system. 10 week long quarters + 1 final week + two midterms = a midterm in the third or fourth week of the quarter. It's great.
