No because you’ve never felt like working out was an exercise at one point or another - you just do it. You haven’t been doing it long enough.

Low frequency, high intensity, and coffee. I always go in fully recovered and wired. If I don't feel 100% jazzed to lift, I don't lift. And since I do real shit (5-rep max the big 3 then do an AMRAP set of pullups), I get stronger.

I'm nearly the same size as you but my best bench is only 3pl8.
355 bench. Really just 1x5 linear. I used to do a "ramped" 5x5 where I'd go 60/70/80/90/100% of that day's target weight but now I just save energy for the top 1x5 and warm up with easy triples.
For example, to warm up for 5x305 I'd go 3x135, 185, 2pl8, 265, then hit the work set.
Sometimes when 5s start to stall I'll do singles for a couple weeks. Basically max out and when I think I'm done I take 80% of my best completed rep and do 2x3. Switching between those two methods seems to work well.
I'm just getting more consistent now...500/400/500 in 2018 seems doable and I want it bad. After I'm done wrestling (just recreational-level) in May I am absolutely bloatmaxxing.
