Hey Veeky Forums. So I went to the gym for the first time and squatted with 40 lbs. I'm 75 lbs 5'5.
Was that pathetic or is it normal for absolute starters? I might've lifted a little heavier if only I didn't feel so lost.

Anyway, for being like 11, I'd say 40 pounds isn't that bad, if your form was good and you did a few reps.

what's there?

Yeah, that's fucking bad, but it's okay because you're new
Read the sticky, eat a lot of food, lift weights (consistently!!!) is my advice

i squated 55 today and im 5'11 170pounds im new to the gym

Half assed squats or ass to grass squats?
If ass to grass that's not terrible for a first day given that your 75lb. I started out last week and can only do 65lb for 5x5.

>5'5''
>75lbs

Are you kidding? I could barely squat with 20 lb in my first day.

Bitchmade
I can squat 3pl8
However, I am 6'2" master race and weigh like 195lbs.
Have you considered the "Grow Grow Grow" method and going on a bulk? Might help. Unless you're happy with your stature and frame.

Wtf?
I squatted 40kg for 3x10 on my first day.

according to your bmi, you are a skeleton

Don't worry too much about that weight and focus more on gaining weight. Your lifts will progress as you get heavier, but you have to have some muscles to actually do anything. Also, I can dumb bell benchpress your body weight in each hand

Your lifting, and actually went to the gym. That is more than a lot of fuckers can say. It will improve in time, make sure to keep up a diet and progressively increase your lifts. Good job

You were unable to squat the bar?
