I have a theory that its to do with boys being raised more by their mothers. When fathers arent involved then there isnt as much of a male role model to the point where the boy basically doesnt quite know how to act like a man. He doesnt quite understand playfighting or how to interact with other men like a man would, and its even worse for interacting with women in a romantic way. Basically, without a father to show boys how to be proper males/alpha, they become little bitches by default. You see this in extreme cases with nice guys. I used to be a bit like this, where I didnt know how to have proper banter with mates or how to talk to girls i was interested in because I had a quite overbearing mum, but i have been working on myself to be a proper man, and id say so far its working. But not everyone has the foresight or self awareness, especially not in their late teens/early twenties.
