I guess it's a matter of taste. I prefer to wear more comfy clothing, besides our culture seems to favour that. You said most fitness supplements, some supplements are ok thou. Regarding music, it's so tacky and repetitive because you do get better pump with such music than with classical one.
Regarding /fa well, it's a matter of taste. I quite like it, there is a time and place for everything and for gym flashy colors and logos are ok.

The problem is that the demand for the shitty and cheap looking stuff is mostly dictated by the supply which is odd enough. I think fitness attracts people that are unhappy about themselves and are finding ways to alleviate that, seek validation and escape from their bland, working class life. That, and the necessity to be strong and look like it is more urgent in lower class settings, it's much more dog eat dog there. If you neglect yourself plebs will shit all over you.
