Eating healthy is more about making sure you eat all your daily macro's and micro's than avoiding unhealthy food.
So in other words if on monday you eat a homecooked meal, fruit and vegetables but also ate at mcdonalds in the midday without getting too many calories, your body had a good day.
When you routinely eat too salty or sugary food everyday you will damage your body though, even if you have a diverse diet. It's not hard to eat healthy unless you're a slob desu.

Arguing with a woman about food is a lost battle, no matter how much more educated you are on the subject.

(MOST) women are no different to dogs when it comes to food. They have no self control or discipline. Not to mention how offended they get if you mention they should go on a diet or control what they're eating or try to explain why their diet is a joke.

My biggest problem is, any time I say something to my girlfriend about her unhealthy diet and eating habits she says "are you saying I'm fat? I'm not fat, you just want me anorexic" or "you know I love food, it's just how I am". How do I deal with this?

It's crazy cause when I met her I was the unfit one and SHE actually introduced me to the gym and working out.

Problem is, she just goes for a month then quits for 3 or 4, but I've been consistent for over a year and made incredible gains and look so much better already as well as completely reformed my diet. I made a huge change in my life thanks to the gym and have been very disciplined.

I didn't think it would be a big deal, but it's seriously starting to bother me and if it doesn't change it will force me to dump her. The worst part is, women are completely incapable of changing their diet and ways, so there really is no hope for her.

Short answer: No, that's not how it works.

Long answer: It depends on your goals. If you're trying to lose weight, no, eating additional "healthy" calories to cancel out "unhealthy" calories is literally fat logic. If, however, your goal is to, say, lessen the glycemic impact of some dessert you just ate, then yes, that actually can work.

As always, though, still, the best option is to just simply not eat the bad thing in the first place.

This is really comparing apples and oranges. If you REALLY want an answer, think about if you'd rather get fat or get malnourished due to low vitamin or whatever.
But really, the question doesn't make any sense. Individual foods are never good / bad, it all depends on the rest of your diet and goals.

Chips are high calorie density with little nutritional value. You could get enough calories to keep you going but you get no vitamins and instead get lots of saturated and transfats you didnt need
