Learn to love exercise first. Try some 60s planks first every day to experience strength gains. Start loving gains.

I thought I hated exercise until I started lifting at my lunch hour. When I lift, my mood lifts and I don't hate everything as much. Get started brah.

I like exercising unlike lazy OP but how do I push past the suck when doing heavier weigts. It's really pushing me and I don't feel like I got the strength mentally for it.

im not like OP who hates exercise, ive learned to love it and i do 20-40 minutes of cardio every day as well as lifting, and ive put on some decent muscle compared to where i started at least, but im still a fat fuck, and the reason im still a fat fuck is obviously a complete and utter addiction to food and i feel compelled to eat the same way you feel compelled to smoke a cigarette when bored
has anyone had any experience dealing with this addiction (or any addiction for that matter)

Find something you like to do that gets you moving around. Then do it at regular intervals.

I'm not Veeky Forums yet, but I've lost around 110lbs and my lifts are getting better every week/ other week.

As far as food goes, you just need to forcefeed yourself something semi/ fully healthy and not be a bitch about it. Get protein bars from Costco, get some cheap protein powder and make a shake with multiple scoops, chicken and rice, etc. You KNOW what you have to do, so you might as well do it.

Start doing one set of push ups to failure a day, challenge yourself to add more workouts every week. You won’t get gains as fast as just hittin the gym and working out an hour 4 days a week but you’ll get there eventually.

How did you learn to love it? I've had some trouble finding a good cardio and workout routine that I like enough to deal with the pain.

Force yourself anyway or learn to love working out. That being said, if you don't start loving exercise, you'll never make it long-term.

If you are fucking obese the general beginner advice might not help at all and just demotivate you.

You might just need to diet down and take it easy with walking for a bit or something.

it usually takes me a couple of weeks to get into it, but after the first round of DOMS is gone the muscle soreness feels good because you know that you are making progress.
