At what point should I be worried about injuring my back after squats/deadlifts? You're meant to feel soreness after these exercises, right? How much pain should make you question your form?
Lately I've been getting a swelling over my spine a few inches above the tailbone after I squat. It doesn't hurt but feels weird and usually goes away by the next day. Is that normal?

If it's on your spine, sharp, or you feel numbness/tingling in your legs, see a doctor. If it's proximal to your spine, you're probably fine. Acute swelling is never a good sign, though.

Stop squatting and deadlifting immediately. At the least do front squats instead.

Had to sit down in the locker room for ten minutes waiting for my quads to stop burning. But after that I was fine and I didn't even get DOMS the next day. Is that normal?
