>instead of these

He uses these dedicatedly out of pure insecurity; 40 reps a set, seven sets per workout, clearly stated in an excel sheet

Instead of casually doing these everytime he needs to change the bar weight, easily and organically incorporating a new exercise into anything

Theyre the only bar clips in my gym

>he lifts

Those things could've ended my life.

>couple year ago
>been lifting for a few months
>keep bar balanced while benching so decide not to use clippers anymore since its such a hassle
>alone at gym at like 1 am
>on my last bench set, completed previous one barely
>start set
>4th rep I can feel that i'm unable to rerack
>start panicking and screeching while trying to turn the bar vertically
>weights fall off the bar and im free
Shat bricks that day but I survived

>See those clips
>On the fucking smith machine

what was the weight? Dont tell me it was below 2pl8

you wouldn't die just rolling the weight down your body

Use dumbbells you fucking dolt

>not claiming all 8 your gym has to use them as microplates

Never gonna make it

It was really close to 2pl8, I remember hitting 2pl8 soon after that.

Yeah I didnt know about the roll of shame back then. Couldnt really think because I was panicking.

I always use them on the smith machine incase of sudden earthquake

Saw a tough guy covered in tough tattoos doing this, like wtf?

>he never lifts more than 3pl8 and doesn't need those

>hes too weak to take those clips off the bar

>Couldnt really think because I was panicking
and autistically screeching apparently

I unironically use those for some lifts just to keep plates tight to collars.

This. If you don't you're retarded.
>Be deadlifting
>Every time you drop it plates move further apart making it more difficult
You can get away without them on squat and bench though.

So, i'll bite

What is wrong with this clips.

>Every time you drop it plates move further apart making it more difficult
I feel like I'm getting trolled here

in some gyms the plates are really worn and don't fit securely on the bars
also when you DL the plates on one side frequently move more than the other side making it unevenly loaded, hence you use clips on those fuckers
It's really not rocket science

absolutely nothing. op is afaggot

At worst you would've had to do the Roll of Shame but I also don't use them when benching alone so I can plate-dump if needed

apparently women have much worse grip strength on average and can't use them.

Yeah fine but it doesn't increase the weight

If you bloatmax'ed, you could have just rested it on your iron belly.

Nothing is wrong with these. I use them all the time.

shows that you're a wobbly cunt that cant keep the bar balanced

>TFW you don't want to injure yourself or break equipment

I use them to squat just because it helps me keep everything tight during the walkout. Any shifting at that point throws me off a lot

I use clips for everything but bench press. Gotta roll and dip to escape failed benches.

>not these

I actually saw a dude at the gym the other day try to bench 2pl8s without using clips, and the weights fell off the bar on his first rep. The personal trainer next to him could not fathom his retardation.

Who the fuck said that the weight increases? The moment arm increases unevenly, therefore it is more difficult. Why the fuck did you make me take my time to explain something that you should know simply by existing in this fucking universe for more than 5 minutes jesus fucking christ I'm out of here.

>lifting weights you're not 100% confidence you can lift completely alone

My University gym makes everyone use these for every single lift. If a staff person sees a barbell with plates not secured by clips they come over and bother you about it. Pisses me of to no end

Where do i get those?

its fine if you're webm related, in all other cases it makes you look like the new kid

>1am lifting

not him but i always lift as late as possible so im alone in the gym because i have serious autism

I tried to do this by getting a membership at 24 Hour Fitness. Turns out they close at 10. Motherfuckers. I canceled the next day when I found out.

who ever let him do this shit is obscenely irresponsible

This actually. benching is basically the smith machine equivalent of squatting. you don't look as cool pressing dumbbells but its better for your stabilizer muscles in the longrun.

I'm going to hell

amazon sells them or you can go to ironmind-store.com/Captains-of-Crush174-Grippers/products/8/0/8/
