Go to Veeky Forums if you want to discuss career choices and incomes, this is a fitness board. And the more you work the less time you have to lift obviously

>cameraman for sport events
>150$ / day, 27.000€ annually

i dont make a lot, but i only work 6 months a year and i travel the rest of the year to go surfing

i can invest 1/3 of what i make and i'd rather drive my bicycle to a beach than my car to an office so i'm happy

heading to moscow soon for the soccer world cup, ill go to the phillippines for surfing after that

>What’s your profession or major?
Research scientist (photonics, lasers, optics related) in govt lab
>How much do you make annually?
$98k
>Do you enjoy it and how much or how little does it get in your way of gainz?
It is a pretty chill job all things considered. It isnt like academia research with shitty hours, only 40 hours every week and can pick when to come in, so can get out earlier as well. I lift at an olympic weightlifting gym and have plenty of time to make it to practice every day. I cant use my phone though which means I have to write down calorie count throughout the day

This, and then people just larp anyway so what's the point

Oh hai guys I'm a college dropout that taught myself programming and now make six figures and get my dick sucked every day - every jobs thread

Uni student but taking a semester off to do a co-op at a engineering firm. Make $18/hr. 8-4:30 every weekday. Have plenty of time for gains

I work in accounting been out of school for 3 years, next year im going to quit and use some of money I've saved to travel for 9 or so months. I hate it but sometimes its tolerable. Soul crushing, though that is motivating enough

>t.lonely basement dwelling lanklet

Big 4? Busy season has got me ready to just drop everything and move somewhere else

I work as a Veeky Forums dataminer.
69,696.96$ net every year.

Pro crypto trader-infinite income

I started big 4 but only lasted a year because of the hours. i'm in industry so I have free time even during busy season. Good luck user, it's definitely worth it if it fits your goals

I get paid 500k a year to fuck all your moms.

Resident physician. I'll be making 58k this year. I can expect between 150k and 350k once residency is over, depending on where I live and how many hours I want to work.

>dropout
>move furniture
>part-time, 3 days/week
>~24k (after tax, + cash tips)
>I enjoy it quite a bit, I monetize my gainz. The stronger I get, the easier work is.
>It obviously leaves lots of time for lifting

>High school dropout
>Full time "inventory specialist" at grocery store
>$16 an hour + free stocks and 401k matching

I could make a lot more if I move up but I'm pretty comfy right now.

Publix?

Fresh merchant mariner. 1800$/m it's 2x national average in my country so it's ok and after promotion I'll get much more.
We have a small gym onboard, and if needed in our workshop we can create almost any equipement ourselves. Only problem is food, too much carbs ,low protein.
Anyway I'm happy with this job, and exotic hookers at 3-rd world prices are a nice featute.

not really into guns but that rifle with a short barrel looks really nifty. what caliber?

It's considered a pistol I believe, see the brace, it's how they get around "no stocks on pistols" bs rules
Look like 9mm too

You got the right idea, bruv. Keep it up. Life is too short to stress 24/7 about accruing a pile of money without a sense of the truly pleasurable, fulfilling things in life like travel and being open to experiences. You're 110% gonna make it brah

Nope
9mm

I'm a GP and i'm currently studying 12 hours a day to get into my residency, could be worst.

Distiller.

Work at a small craft distillery in a major US city. I make whiskey, vodka and gin. Whiskey and gin have both won major awards. Making only 50k a year but I love my work. Gets in the way of the gym a little what with some days over 12 hours. Moved towards a lot of body weight stuff I can do at work.

Banking
College major: finance
Gross annual: $125k
Age: 26
Shape: bretty good

how much money are you planning on taking from pharma companies to push pills on your patients?

Middle School dropout. Sell some woodworking stuff on Etsy, take art commissions, walk dogs and take care of cats at a grooming place, and grow culinary mushrooms for farmer's market. Only make ~$600/wk but I'm really happy and live in a flyover state where cost of living is $10k/year.

No way, American? I'm a grad student in a government lab doing AMO experiment. Seems like there's always heavy stuff to be moved, strength helps way more than I thought it would.

Project Coordinator for construction company in oil and gas. Got my degree in PNGE.
I make $88k now and after my next project I’ll get bumped up to a Project Manager making $120k.
I enjoy the people I work with so that makes it a lot better. I work 6 10’s 7-5pm so I wake up at 4:30am to workout. Unfortunately I really don’t have a social life though. When I relocate back to the office from the field I will get Saturday’s off and be working in an actual city around women so that’ll be much better.
I’ve been slowly getting into day trading though. I plan on retiring before 30 and making most of my income from trading (not crypto). It’s definitely possible I just need to research more and practice.

L-lies

HVAC. On pace to do 140k this year.

Fit as a fiddle, whores love when a dude can fix their shit because the slob they're with is playing xbox.

That sounds hyper comfy. I've always kinda wanted to have a blue collar job somewhere in the sticks while doing outdoors shit.

Right now I'm in grad school working towards a degree in bioinformatics. Starting salary at the CDC is like $70k and I will suck as many dicks as it takes to get that job.

I'm jelly, 100% serious.

>fit
Hope you can stay that way, all the veteran HVAC dudes I (sparky) interact with are fat, old, wornout and with manboobs from crawling around in attics fixing heat pumps and such
Best of luck

>What’s your profession or major, Veeky Forums?
Resident medfag

>How much do you mean annually?
50k canadian dollarydoos for now
Will be around 400k eventually

>Do you enjoy it and how much or how little does it get in your way of gainz?
Yeah it's fun but I work from 60 to 72 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
Makes me have to wake up early to hit the gym. Also night shifts mess up my diet.
At least I will get to decide my own schedule when I graduate residency.

Yeah American and I guess general strength can be useful. I come from an EE PhD, but basically covering optics, etc like AMO does. This work is much less stressful than academia or PhD though hours wise

How old are you? How many hours a week do you put in?

Do you own the business? I’m struggling to understand how HVAC can make that much.

The amount of attics is a bit overstated. At least where I live. All the older guys I work with are just worn out, a few injuries or close calls here and there, not really overweight.

Fat guys don't make it in HVAC. Too many tight spaces, knees, ladders, etc. Very rare to see a fat fuck.

Also I plan on starting my own venture in the field next year so I can be my own boss and make my bones and get out ASAP. I do love it tho :)

No one said anything about height. Sore spot?

32. 40-80 depending on the season.

No. Hourly + commission.

I make 28$ an hour + commission on things I sell while doing service, I also do my own work on the side on a frequent basis.

For example last week my check cleared over 2k and I made about 700$ on side jobs.

Also depends on the region. If I lived in a cheap state like Georgia I'd probably make half the amount and live the same way.

I dont live in NYC or anything tho lol. a fairly cheap living major city on the east coast tho

Dude fucking finally I've found someone else interested in this major that seems to be relatively "new" and fresh. I'm currently just Biology in undergrad right now but I'm seeing what it takes for the concentration in bioinformatics at the school I'm transferring to. The school I'm at now got bnfo as its own undergrad recently but I can't take being here anymore. I'm teaching myself Python on the side too cause I hear that's definitely the language most used in the field right now. Since you're more experienced I wanna ask is that the typical language your using in your graduate courses right now? I'm sure there's others but I'm genuinely curious. I'm trying to get into a pharmacy grad school to maybe delve into Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics but I'll do anything it takes to get up to the level of a Project Manager or something for that delicious salary. Really nice to see another Veeky Forums bro getting into the field.

Damn. 23 here and I’ve been thinking about getting my HVAC certs for a while but I really didn’t think that type of money was possible. Thanks for the info user.

1. Depends on where you live.

2. Depends ENTIRELY on how much you invest in yourself. The most successful person I've ever met in this field was also the most intelligent and hard working dude I've ever seen. He was teaching and running his own business at 35 and then he snagged a job at Google (Nest thermostats) and he makes 200k a year now just going around and training companies on how to use it and install it and troubleshoot it.

>electrician, HVAC technician and now learning to be a project leader and I also rent out 3 appartments and do 1 or 2 renovation projects a year
>72k euros a year from my job and appartments and an extra 40 to 60k from renovation projects
Absolutely love what I do and no usually it doesn't get in the way of my gains. It can get overwhelming but that's why I'm building up the passive income, so I can take 4 holidays a year in a couple of years and I also don't want to get cucked by the state when I retire.

nice. that's what I want to put my money towards soon. Once I get my biz going going to invest every dollar into properties.

>Firefighter-Paramedic for a county fire dept and a commercial ambulance service
>50K/yr for fire, ~18k/yr for the ambulance service (~40-50hr/mo)
>Love it
>Gainz and conditions required

>Pardon the blurry ass photo

>every dollar into x
Do not do this, diversify into as many different asset classes as possible, including foreign economies, if SHTF this is the greatest chance you have to have a shot at a decent future for yourself/family/kids
It's quite Jewish to invest into "all the things" which will roughly includes migrants immigrating into Europe but it works if you want to make money

Real estate will never not be a good investment, I don't know if you also work a trade but it never hurts to learn a thing or two when you're aspiring to be a landlord. As a matter of fact, I think every man should at least be somewhat proficient in some trade even if they're not working in construction.

Yeah that's just vague and beyond the scope for me. I do HVAC, I'm good at it, I can evaluate a house and determine it's worth and make money on it. Properly invested real estate will never be bad.

Yes I work in HVAC. I want to segue into becoming a landlordjew to build my passive income while I work.

Dentist
18k (but I live in eastern europe so its a pretty good pay)
No getting in the way of gains, its pretty comfy.

>will never be bad
I have to correct you user, because there is no hard and fast rules regarding investing, plenty, PLENTY of people across this planet have purchased property and now are sitting on massive losses while still having to pay property tax because someone told them "property is always a good investment" often citing reasons like "population is always going up"
while it may be true in the long run, not necessarily the case even in your lifetime
otherwise I agree with what you said, but you do you

BSN RN graduating in a couple months. Stand to make somewhere around 24-26/hr for the first year and more after that. Thinking of traveling for something like double the pay.

I'm a neet

That's great, I started out as an electrician when I was 18 and took up HVAC a couple of years ago. Don't underestimate it though, it can get really tough and dirty once you start climbing the ranks. Best advice I ever got was: 'You either fuck or you get fucked, there's no inbetween'.

Well yes, you have to be smart about it. I've also seen people do renovations and make it completely how they like it and then they wonder why it doesn't appeal to the general market. It's also a big investment the first time so fuckups tend to be really expensive but I've been working in construction sunce I was 18 so I never had any real problems.

What do you do?
