How long did it take for you to reach 1/2/3/4?

Hard mode: no LARP

I just hit 1 plate OHP yesterday

Attached: lsdzf.jpg (500x421, 17K)

after 1 week I can 1 pl8 bench and squat, 2 pl8 deadlift
going to put some effort into OHP next week and I'll see what my limit for reps is there
shouldn't take too long

Still not there after 2 years of half assed ppl
bench 185x5
squat 225x5

don't ohp or deadlift

>shouldn't take long
kek

>don't ohp or deadlift
why?

around 2 years, almost 3 if we are talking clean reps without cheating and doing it raw without belt and stuff. but I had to lose a bunch of weight so it can definitely be done quicker.

3 Years

but my first year was literally me going to the gym, running 1h and playing in the machines for 20min

Played sports casually from ?-16/17 then quit, went on drugs and alcohol practically every day from 17-19. 8 months later to now and I can 185 OHP, 275x3 bench, 455x3 squat, 405x3 DL

How much do you weight?

damn, can you post pics of your body ? or of your squat, that shit is fucking crazy for 8 months.

Terrible LARP: The Post

3 reps @ 9 months
Almost 5x5 @ 12 months

Half a year of doing an actual non meme program after doing stupid shit like arm days

Sorry friend I would but I don't trust a picture of me floating around on a saudi horse trading threadshare. I'm 5'7, 175lbs, 16.5" biceps (lmao)

Petty jealousy is a cancer I hope you overcome friend.

can anyone explain why anonymous surveys on here show that almost noone benches more than 2pl8 for reps yet in threads like these everyone has achieved 2pl8 bench for reps in 12 months easy ?

i'm not jelous, i do 1/2/3/4 for 10 reps and i've just been lifting for 6 months (yes i was a pro ice hockey player before)

its easy to lie when you're anonymous and you don't have to back up your claims.
1/2/3/4 is not easy and judging by most CBT threads I doubt that even 1% of Veeky Forums can do them.

1.5 years to bench 405. Cant say anything about the others since I lost my legs in war.

so then you understand what a good starting foundation is for lifting and you might just have a mental condition where you type, post and then think

Because these threads specifically attract people who can lift 1/2/3/4 you goof.

What constitutes reps? I could do 3 reps at 2pl8 ez. I 5x5 95kg almost 12 months in 175cm 83kg.

hmm.. makes sense but how do you explain that everytime I see these threads I go in and claim to lift 1/2/3/4 in 6 months or so when in reality I can barely bench 1pl8 ?

Lifting for one month, Im
0.5/1/1.5/2

Was a sedentary lardass, not too bad I think.

3 years
155/225/295/335

2 months lifting
0.5/1/2/2.75

damn that's a lot of plates

eazy-peazy

10 monthes into working out consistently. Current bests are 140x4 OHP, 225x3 bench, 315x1 squat and 365x7 Diddly. I also do a bunch of other stuff, and have a +105x3 weighted pullup, 385x5 Jefferson, and 270x1 Zercher Squat, all at 5'10" 180

Attached: y0ektqu20yk01.jpg (2200x2200, 429K)

220lb, 5'8

apt

4 months in and at 1 / 1.95 / 2.25 / 3.5

>6'4"
>100kg

Attached: IMG_2364.png (750x1334, 198K)

6 months lmao. I am nearly there after lifting for 2 months, not even memeing.

the only people who hit 1/2/3/4 are fat ass around 100kg

big cope

I really don't get people posting their lifting stats on Veeky Forums.

It seems that everyone hits 1/2/3/4 in under a year easily, but then in current body threads, people with those numbers often look look they're even less muscular than I am, and I'm ottermode.

>3 years
>hit 315 squat after 2 years
>pressed 135 for a super grindy single shortly afterwards
>currently pull 395
>bench still stuck at 175
>tfw chestlet

4 reps or 1rm? 1rm was like 6 months for all, reps (5+) took me 2 months for the Press™, 5 months for binch, 11 months for ddly and squat haven't even reached it
>tfw you're a leglet

Attached: Confederacy.gif (645x773, 16K)

How do you get there so fast? Let's assume you start your bench doing 5 reps at 115. You'd need to get to around 195 5 reps to be able to max 225. So if you're doing a linear progression program that's 16 workouts with no stalls.

Do you add more than 5 pounds per workout or is it really that easy to just not stall if you eat and sleep enough?

shirley it's got to be 5 reps? who the fuck does a 1rm before every exercise?

wut?

1/3/4 was easy, got the 3 pl8 squat in 5 months, took 2 more weeks for the DL. got a 2 pl8 bench in 9 months.

putting up numbers on squat and bench is strongly about technique and form. some of the cues that really helped me push bench was arch with you upper back and rest on your traps, and grip the bar as hard as you can

so like does "1pl8 / 1 plate" mean one plate on the metal bar?
Surely it would have to be 2 plates otherwise you would be off balanced and fall to one side, thanks in advance for clearing it up as i am a gym noob

i assume people are posting how long till they hit 1/2/3/4 for 5 reps not 1rm.

genetics and prior conditioning can helo explain why some people are stronger than others. other factors are proportion, and personally how you psych yourself up to mitigate that fear. i still remember my first 2 pl8 squat, i was so afraid i just lost my form.

1 year in
>ohp havent been doing until recently 40kgx5 maybe could do more
>bench 75x5
>squat 75x5
>deadlift havent been doing much last time i tried 1rm was 110kg

for 5 reps? 2 years, but i started lifting when i was 16

1 pl8 on bar means total 45 lbs on the bar so 22.5 on the one side and 22.5 on the other
2 pl8 is one 45lb bar on each side

>get 1pl8 squat after a few months
>try to go beyond
>mfw get extremely light headed
>mfw still stuck sub 1pl8 bench

I'd been at 1/2/3/3.5 for a while, and it took a dude bro at my gym to say, albeit rather rudely, "with how you big you are you should be able to loft more than that" for me to hit lmao 4pl8.

Mind you he didn't actually say that out loud but I could tell by the way he wold stare at his phone whenever I finished a set that that's what he was thinking.

i can currently bench 95kg (210lbs), im so close to achieving what i thought would be my lifetime goal and iv been lifting about 2.5 years
i was originally a fatty so the first part of those years i was basically just on the treadmill and doing high rep low weight cardio tier training till i cut down to 70kg (154lbs) @ 5'10, so it could probably be done faster

learn proper bracing

Any reason your squat is so low?

1 plate means one plate on each side of the bar.

1 plate OHP = 135 lbs

3 months

Probably because my gym only has a jones machine (3d smith machine) and it feels awkward to squat but im not sure

apt?

Ah, makes sense, at least you've got plenty of room to progress, should be fast if you find a proper squat rack right

It took me 6-7 months of proper lifting to get from 40kg bench to 5x5 with a 100kg.
And im 190cm tall with a 200cm arm span making it much harder for me to do almost every exercise. Now I'm at 110kg 5x5 after a total of 1 year working out.
I don't know how people manage to stall at any exercises, I made nothing but progress the whole time I've been working out.

Believe it or not, your the exception not the norm. those numbers are great considering your height and wing span. How much you weigh son?

Enjoy your CTE

Doing gslp, hit 1 plates ohp for 3x5 felt great, next workout i had to deload, :(

2 years for 65kg/100kg/125kg/165kg

couldn't care less about my squat and deadlift.

6.5 months

OHP: 3 months
Squat: 3.5 months
Deadlift: 4 months
Bench: 6.5 months

did not expect that

weight?
I'm pretty similar in height and wingspan. I stall all the time on UB lifts due to lack of food I think. I've averaged 0.250 kg weight gain over the past 2 months (im skinny af).

Also you said serious lifting. I'm sure even dicking around on machines will help at the start

1/2/2/3 here
My squat is so hard to get up, I keep developing a pain in my upper left leg when I do squats. Ive finally decided to stop trying to squat heavy. So I do light squats and then heavy leg press

Been working out on/off for 5 years and still haven't reached. Just started to get serious again and for the first time in my life i make really good gains.

>Weight: 152lbs
>BF%: 13%
>Height: 5'9

Bench: 209x1
Squat: 242x3
DL: 352x1 or 319x3
OHP: 132x5
Chins: 22lbs weightedx10

These threads are filled with liars. I just reached 1/2/3/4 for max after years of lifting. I'm 20 with no sports background so i can't really tell u the difference it makes but i never see anyone lift as much as me at my gym unless they're roided or they're older men in general. I would say based on what i've seen, it would take at least 2 years starting from nothing and if you're not starting from nothing, it's misleading to say u just started lifting.

This is a good post.

There's an ending to that sentence. And yes, obviously roided people are lifting in my gym. I'm not talking about that guy fucking your oneitis that looks just a little "too" big to not be roiding.

So literally everyone that lifts even just a little bit more than you is roiding or 50, got it

4.5 months
45/62.5/105/115/ 5RM, kg.
