Do squats make you shorter?

Do squats make you shorter?

yes

but you can just stand up again, right?

yes, but it's so little that you'll never even notice

Well they don't make you taller, right?

been doing heavy squats for 4 years or so...I'm 2 cm shorter now but I'm swole so who cares

how much you squat nowadays

how heavy?

250lbs

>not squatting and saying grow grow grow
manlets will never learn

Weew lad lmao hope that's not your max after 4 years

oh fuck off, you've probably never been in a gym before

I mean 250 is a lot for a girl or twink

shit now i'm going to be paranoid to squat above 100kg

I'm dying bro

If this is the case then LONDON

A stronger back makes you stand taller you brainlet

> squat
> fix posture
> ???
> taller

yeah, but the compression of your spine make you shorter

My best is 255 after one year bud
((((lern2bulk))))

But you can resist gravity better so you get taller

>255 after 1 year

im at the end of 3rd month and about to hit 240

>240 after 3 month
315 after 3 days here, get at me cunts

>400 at birth
FUCKING MOGGED

>495 inside the womb

I'm 19 and squating( almost 2 plates hope to hit 3 in a few months) also a manlet (5 foot 7). Should I be worried about this or is the difference going to be negligible?

I'm 20, 5'7 and squat 455 for 3

yeah but did it make you shorter or stunt your growth?

>500 when just a gamete

Nope, taller than both parents (thank god) and I used to squat 315 my sophomore year at 16 or 17 years of age

Yes.
This has been proven to be factually correct.

same here, but my brother is still a few inches taller than me(I take it is because as a child I was a picky eater and ate really little)

Thanks for your opinion, guy who doesn't squat because it's hard.

lmao im 175cm im never doing squats

Having some weight on your back for less than 3 minutes per week isn't going to make you shorter, how fucking dumb can you be. If this is one giant bait thread rest assured that you got me good, lads.

Squat every day.
Bodyweight however, snapped my shit up by listening to a "strength coach" and never did it heavy again.

But it is a fact that squats will make you shorter by some inches. Them being a relatively tough exercise has absolutely nothing to do with that simple fact.

>t. midget flamingo

You sound like a complete idiot. Stop giving people your opinion.

Only for a few seconds

is this that one story? Where the kid went to the gym for the first time and did "bodyweight squats" and ended up in the hospital.

someone post it pls

>snapped my shit up by listening to a "strength coach" and never did it heavy again.
So... why the fuck would we listen to you?

>squats will make you shorter by some inches
How many inches? [citation needed]

Yes, but if your'e not doing some kind of spinal decompression after along with core work then you're increasing the chance of injury.
Could be by 0.000001% or 50%, depends on form & experience.
Do some pullups, dead hangs, or just hang with gravity boots.
You're hips and low back aren't going to get mires like ceps, but if you don't take care of them you'll look like a DYEL with a bad back and on permanent weight restriction
