/PLG/ - Powerlifting General

Don't take this hobby too seriously. It makes you look autistic, and it's not a real sport anyways.

Be like Jim Wendler.
>Whatever that adds up to, that's my total. Had a good time, blah, blah, blah.

asp.elitefts.com/qa/training-logs.asp?qid=124324&tid=

Compete however you want in whatever fed you want. Put up a respectable total and don't be a bitch about it.

Compete for fun. Have sex. Love life.

How to train not seriously?

first for

1@8
repetition method
sumo is ok if its a record level pull
concurrent training
highbar=comfy
squat in flats

>Don't take this hobby too seriously. It makes you look autistic, and it's not a real sport anyways.
but i probably spend twice as long training then any other sport and people think your autistic for raving about it but its perfectly normal for some dyel pajeet to like soccer?

>How to train not seriously?
Stay at a 4 plate squat for more than a year. Plg is really good at that

>living a life of mediocrity
lol at ur life

world record by all natty feds: youtu.be/84di1Zn9rfU

>implying I can squat 4 pl8 without killing myself

holy shit you look skinny eat more

>bench press is simply not the best measure of raw strength.
>upper body strength? p'shaw! my fair maiden, who will one day present herself to me, cares not for such a thing.

Attached: 1519354014840.jpg (518x281, 43K)

So apparently I have some kind of issue with my hip flexor, it keeps getting aggriviated on one side - is it possible that a wider stance helps fighting this issue until I figure out what it is? Or would that probably make it even worse?

>How to train not seriously
I didn't say not to train seriously. I said not to take this hobby too seriously.

There is a big difference.

The spaz that over thinks his training 24/7 and stresses himself out, while neglecting his personal life and conditioning is a pathetic creature that nobody should look up to.

Keep your training simple. Train hard when it's time to train hard. Maintain a work-life balance. Maintain relationships. Have sex. Love life.

That's obvious mostly just a bunch of chubby guys standing around in singlets. When you start pulling sumo at three plates, or look like the McDonald's arch for a 2 plate bench, it's time to reevaluate how seriously you take this Hobby.

my ass beg to differ, im eating 4000 cals a day, 200g of proteins, 90 of fats and 600 carbs. Strenght is going up, thats all that matters

Attached: beg to differ.png (540x960, 276K)

>That's obvious mostly
* this hobby is mostly

>you have to pull conventional until you can do an arbitrary amount of weight
Some people are so stupid that they can't get into their head the fact that some people are built differently than others and would get nothing out of pulling conventional with a below 90 degree torso angle

>respodning to jim poster

Attached: hahaha.png (657x527, 24K)

It's shit like this that invalidates the rest of the message by making him look like an idiot.

You'll have to be more specific about which part of that post hurt your feelings. How would you describe your rpe?

i believe that you can learn something from everyone

Redpill me on 100 banded tricep pushdown

Redpill? Is it really a redpill that making your triceps bigger can improve your pressing strength? Is that what this place has come to?

>can
Yeah, pretty low chances to for someone not gripping close

Fuck I am begging to dislike this gym more and more.

>everything is angled very slightly, there are no proper 90 degree angles - the walls are all angles, the benches are randomly angled into the at a 45ish degree, the racks are not even, ...
>the benchpress benches are only 24cm broad and I am always on the edge of losing stability on one of my shoulders blades
>no scale
>20kg plates are 40cm in diameter instead of 45, don't know how to affects deadlifts

I mean these are minor things but considering they will never change it sucks

Beginning*

>he doesnt realize plates often have a tolerance of over 5%
>that 4 pl8 deadlift could be 425 or could even be sub 390

Im a brainlet and didnt see this thread and made a new one

AMA

I like that you make plg threads tbqh.

6/6 and lifetime PRs on both lifts

Good momentum going forward

I tweaked my glute where it inserts into my lower back and it gets irritated when I split jerk so I’ll probably be doing power jerk for a bit till that heals but hopefully that wont inhibit me much

Projection

>lifetime PRs
cope

go back to your containment thread, weak faggot.
inb4 projection

Noice dude hope the glute gets better, lower back shit is always a hassle, have you been doing your GMs and hypers?

I mean as they show up in program yes

what were your exact numbers

Or a 460.
Yeah, but that too. That's why I mentioned the scale.

sell me on why glute-ham raises are a valuable accessory

Attached: 1513320513742.png (706x900, 181K)

Why does my highbar squat feel 10x better with flat shoes than heels? Also I get much deeper. Not sure why I’m using shoes actually.

your hams and glutes are shit

They do good stuff for your hams and glutes.

You don't need to squat in WL shoes and your highbar and lowbar shouldn't look all that different.

I never squat low but I mean without shoes it looks so much cleaner.

but my dl is like 70kg higher than my squat

Attached: pete14.png (695x349, 287K)

there are many other accessories that do good stuff for hams and glutes, too.

what, if anything, makes GHRs special?

It's probably a more stable position for you to squat back into your hips and hams a bit more. Shoes can pitch you forward, they did for me sometimes, not using them currently, may again in the future.

Sure, I mostly do hypers and sometimes RDLs but they are good. Plus the knee bending action makes them like a heavier leg curl. They're good, they're not necessary.

I'm super fucking sore all over, but yesterday was a pretty normal day
gym sleep and diet are basically the same

am I dying?

Panzerlifting General > Projection and Lifting General

What are some /plg/ approved knee sleeves? I've been rawdogging for years and doing just fine, but I should probably get some just as a preventive measure.

what he mean by this

your having to ask means you have no business criticizing anyone's advice, so pipe down and listen while the men talk.

Woah there buddy ol guy. At last you were wearing wrist straps, who knows what could happen at that weight.

>How to train not seriously?

Run 5/3/1.

topkek

Cuckolds hate volume

That's actually a really bad statistic

>am I dying?
Better, you're making it

>Be like Jim Wendler.
You mean, rip off other people's programming just to make shekels?

Attached: rebecca is a qt.webm (272x480, 234K)

Last time i checked jim has a whole book about it did he rip that too?

she looks like a coalburner

As much as I hate your autistc rants I have to agree. Once i stopped giving a fuck about training and started lifting for fun I made more gains than on those good optimal programs.

brrrpffft splaaaat brpppfft

Just sharted some Norman khan into the toilet

Brrrrpffffttttty SPLAAAAT
Ploooop
PLOOOP

Some More just got disposed

This is rather a messy one

OH FUCK AND IT REEKS
THIS NORMAN KHAN FUCKING REEKS ; STINK factor 7.5/10

What is your training like right now?

Norman khan disposal once daily typically with some Afternoon/evening sessions sprinkled in on some occasions

Have you considered colon flow restriction training? Layme Norton recommends something similar in ph3.

Seems like cuck fantasies tbqh.

I wish I could do JM2.0 without the athlete stuff and the long cycles

>without the athlete stuff and the long cycles
Lol. You sound like you don't like trying very hard.

Nowhere to do sprints or jumps desu

Outside?

middle of a shithole in UK and not really much space or decent ground for sprints and no boxes or anything for jumps

Yep always excuses and no training hard.

I pull 280kg.

Would my bench increase, decrease or stay where it is if I put the focus on The Press™®© and benched once a week for a month or two?
Currently benching twice a week

>would I get stronger at a pressing movement, if I got stronger at pressing?

Most likely it would decrease slightly.

But vertical pressing is awesome, and keeps you healthy.

I think I want to try trying harder and just doing a 2 day AB split to be run consecutively eg ABABABR/ULULULR

Just not sure how I’d build in some form autoregulation desu

Yeah if you're untrained

What's jm 2.0?

Juggernaut Method 2.0

You would get stronger
t. lift with oly lifting club and on the rare occasion they bench it's stronger thanks to different overhead pressing they do.

It got sprints and shit? Sounds fun. Template?

>the athlete stuff and the long cycles
Those are core parts of the program.
Do them in the road.

Good deadlift. What is your bench, squat, and bodyweight

110/250 130bw

Trip on isley.
