What to do on rest day. Do i even need?

Fuck I'm bored. I read somewhere I need a rest day so i'm taking one. Makes sense since I feel like I'm beat at gym lately.

-wtf am i supposed to do on a rest day (currently engaging in degenerative behavior like gambling on hoops)

I fucking hate this. Work out days are great and i feel good but then rest day comes around and then im right back to feeling like a sack of shit. I just think about all the bad shit on off days vs thinking about all the good shit on workout days. Kill me now pls

uh. no actually. I'm a teacher and like my work. And i like to lift. I used to love to drink and drug but then I had to grow up and get sober (which is why i rely on the lifting so much more now) Anyone have a good book about workout routines I could go buy to fill the void on rest days. . .

there is literally no need for a rest day, if you know how to regulate your volume/recovery. Even deload weeks are questionable.

I'm a teacher who likes my work too. Besides lifting, I'm also a musician and a carpenter. You should try to do more than 2 things.
