No. If you have a genetic predisposition to it, then you're going bald. Nothing OTC can stop it. Things like Rogaine can temper it, but there's only a 33% chance you'll respond to it.

When I lift, 5x5 for example. The amount of reps I can do plummets after the first 2 sets. Am I lifting too much for 5 sets of 5 reps? I can do 6 or 5 reps max on the first 2 sets

If you can't do your rep range for all the sets then you are lifting too much weight or not resting long enough.

More rest - I give myself 3-5 mins rest between sets and often find I hit more reps on the last set

Yeah. Find a weight you can go 5x5 with without losing form. When you don't feel as exerted after the last set, add a bit more next workout and so forth. Something might feel too light on your first set, but see how it feels after 5.

I'd recommend SS to start with, learning how to squat is really important. GSLP is a great program once you know all the movements pretty well.

MyProtein is based in england where they more or less get a huge tax cut on production due to some loophole in the law, so they can sell it for dirt cheap. 1. it said not to go under 500 calorie deficit because if you go to low you will go into a starvation mode and stop losing weight. i just started doing a 1000 calorie deficit, will this put me into the starvation mode or is that only for people who are truly starving themselves?

2. the sticky said beginners should start with the Starting Strength routine, but I've already been going for 2 months and doing the normal 3x10 routine everyone else at the gym seems to be doing, should i switch to SS or is there really not much difference between SS and other routines?

you're probably using your arms more than your back to lift. position yourself up the seat more and use your back more when you bench

Recently picked up lifting again and last week my legs were dying from soreness. Yesterday I did the same exercises and today I woke up to absolutely no soreness.

Hey guys, recently switched from SL to a standard push-pull routine that follows a similar ABAB track but focuses on dumbbells for a change. I've been doing a MWF but now I'm thinking about switching to a MTThF track and I was wondering if it would be beneficial to have two of those days be barbell days and two dumbbell or if I should just continue my dumbbell routine with the extra day. Would it help keep me from getting in a rut or have any positive benefit? Thanks white brothers

As someone who is always authentically themselves, has tons of friends, but only slept with a few women, god speed user. Being handsome with social clout talking about meaning with dumb shallow chicks doesn’t get you laid.

What is the best way to improve my cardio, specifically breathing when I have asthma?

At the moment I cycle every day for 1 hour after my work-out, average about 80RPM and my heart rate sits at 110-130. I don't get out of breath, but when I go to rowing training or play rugby I'm very out of breath. Hell if I climb a set of stairs I'm breathing heavily for a few seconds.

What's a usable machine routine? I wanted to start with machines for a little while before starting strong lifts, but google hasn't been too useful for me.

user I occasionally defend machinefags because I think they get a lot more hate than necessary but if you want to do SL going in with decent strength isn't important, what is important is getting the form right and it takes a long fucking time to get it down. Even if you have to go with just bar get in there and start doing SL just don't get discouraged and know you probably won't see a lot in way of results till you get that form down and you'll have times where you have to deload because you aren't doing it right like not breaking parallel on squats. It can be discouraging but the best time to start is now yo

yea you can do PPLPPLx. squats are on the L and deads are considered pull even though you have a leg component.
