lightly sand occasionally and lotion once a week. Get a grip strength thingy and get to work. As your grip strength improves the stress is distributed along the whole face of the hand, fingers and all, which means less stress on that particular part of the palm.

I usually increase the weight by 2.5 kg

and what happens is I do my best to finish each set. So if I do 4x3x3, I go for 4x4x3 next time, then 4x4x4 until I can reach 5x5x5.

Seriously, I did construction too, I used lotions and creams almost every day. Dust and abrasion is terrible for your skin health. You can see who doesn't - guys in their thirties whose hands look almost disfigured from the damage. Eventually you just realize that "being a man" and not taking care of your shit is just counterproductive and not worth it.

Most people think having calluses is manly, but really you shouldn't get calluses if you're not lifting 4pl8+. It's just proof that you're fucking dense and don't even know how to grip the bar properly.
