Bob's Red Mill, steel cut. cooked until crunchy. Then I add brown sugar, almonds and maybe honey (good shit from a farmers market) at the end. Serve with a bit of butter or cinnamon.

Sometimes i'll mix some vanilla with a cup of greek yogurt, then chop up raspberries or strawberries and stir them in. Then I toast some oats on the stove and add them, leaving most around the top.

Hello /fitizens, here is my chocolate oats recipe for god tier chocolate oats they taste like a dessert food and have a very nice balance of savory and sweet. The ingredient list is partially arbitrary based on my habits and food on hand and can be tweaked to fit one's macros and taste preferences. Add more milk fat for more creamyness whether it be using a greater/less milk to water ratio or adjusting the percent milk fat used (skim-whole spectrum.) Also for the sugar the baseline 3 tea spoons adds a mild sweetness that blends well with the milk sugar. Artificial sweeteners can also be used of course.

100 grams of oats I use the classic ones that take about three minutes.
15 grams (3 servings)Hershey's dark chocoalte cocoa powder.
15 grams (3 teaspoons) white sugar
6 ounces of 2% milk
4 ounces of water

(555 calories) (20g protein) (99 carbs) (12g fat) (13g fiber) (24g sugar)

These instructions will ensure optimal taste. Follow prep instructions exactly at first and tweak as desired. I use an 1100 watt microwave because that that's what I have on hand. Also I have not expermeinted with the consistency much since I have always enjoyed it as is.

(1) Mix the milk and water in a measuring cup and microwave it for 30 seconds to improve the solubility.
(2) Mix the cocoa powder and sugar into the lukewarm milk and stir well.
(3) Microwave for 3 minutes total. 90 seconds then stir, then 60 more seconds then stir, then microwave for the last 20-30 seconds. The breaks are so it doesn't bubble out of the bowl and make a big mess.
(4) Let cool for 4-5 minutes.
