Hear me out. The Yakuza sell drugs worldwide then funnel that money back into Japan. Laundering money is fucking expensive. Also the Yakuza aren't afraid of using technology - they participate in stock market manipulation, they use drones to deliver drugs in Tokyo, they've stolen servers from banks and ransomed the data back.

The Yakuza developed Bitcoin to launder money more efficiently and they're holding the genesis coins until they're worth 1 trillion dollars.

they wouldn't, and it isn't the primary use. the goal is money laundering.

if btc ever reaches a 21 trillion market cap they'll drop the gen coins. they wouldn't get the trillion, but they could get A LOT before it crashed down low enough.
