“I think you have to have to get him down from there first.” you answer.

“This is your final warning Eli. Get down from there and we'll stop.” Uncle David warns.

Uncle Eli relents and slightly jumps backwards off the railing onto the second floor's carpet. He then begrudgingly walks down the stairs to where everyone else is standing.

“Greetings Cecilia Alcott, Laura Bodewig, Charlotte Dunois, Houki Shinonono and Huang Lingyin. I am John's BEST UNCLE, Eli Smith.” Uncle Eli introduces himself before giving a proper bow.

“It is my pleasure.” Cecilia replies before giving a curtsy.

You just shake your head at Uncle Eli's answer. Jack's right, Mom won't be too pleased with that but Dad will find it pretty funny.

“If you would please follow me to the dining room. You luggage will be taken to your room.” Chelsea says as she leads your family to the dining room.

You and the girls head down the hallway back to your rooms.

“Now make sure you wait for us. It would be improper if you didn't escort us when your parents arrive.” Charlotte tells you as Cecilia, Rin, Houki and Laura nod in agreement.

Then the girls head to their individual rooms while you head to your room to change. You quickly clean yourself up before putting on a pair of nice slacks and a button down shirt. You roll up your sleeves part way up to stay cool. Now that you are presentable, you wait outside your door for everyone else. First out of their rooms are Laura and Charlotte who just touched up their hair. Next out is Houki and Rin, who is wearing a small jacket. Houki quickly takes your free side once Laura was distracted. Cecilia is the last to come out wearing a shawl that matches her summer dress.

Now that everyone is ready, you begin walk to the dining room to join your family. Along the way, your phone rings.

You quickly answer it to see your Dad has called you, “ Hey Dad.”

“Hey John. I called to let you know that we're just outside the mansion.” your Dad replies.

“Ok. By the way, did you know Uncle Eli is already here?” you ask.

“Yeah, I saw him sneak off to steal a speed boat. Your Mom isn't too happy about that.” your Dad answers rather calmly.

“Somehow, I think that won't be the end of it.” you reply, seeing that Charlotte, Houki, Rin, Cecilia and Laura are looking at you.

“That's too bad. But I'll make sure your Mom won't get too angry.” your Dad tells you.

“Thanks. We'll be waiting in the foyer for you.” you say before hanging up.

The walk back to the main foyer is quiet as everyone is nervous meeting your parents. You're quiet as you have to figure out how to explain things to your parents.

There's no way out of this. The only thing to do is take responsibility for your actions and be honest to your parents, no matter the result. You steel yourself to answer your parents.

The quiet walk and resulting waiting in the main foyer bears down on you. Each minute grows longer and longer as you stand in silence waiting for your eventual end. Houki and Charlotte's grip on your arms grows tighter as they wait nervously with you. Cecilia and Laura pull on your shirt with each growing moment. Rin is looking back and forth from the doors nervously. Finally breaking the silence, both of the front doors are thrown wide open with a crash.

“It's everyone's favorite idol of peace, Paz, here to rescue you from a sibling fight.” your Mom says completely cheerful as she strikes an odd pose.

You aren't sure but you almost here a KIRA KIRA noise as she struck her pose.

“Hey Mom.” you reply almost meekly.

“Why is everyone so quiet? I thought if I did a cute introduction your girlfriend...” you Mom replies cheerfully before her tone turns cold.

Now she is just staring at you with an ice cold smile.

“There is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this.” you begin to explain, almost tripping over your words.

“The truth is I'm in love with them so I'm dating all of them.” you answer in one go.

Not good. She almost never takes this tone unless you really screwed up in her eyes. It must have been years since she has talked to you like this. The only time she was like this was when you almost took a Metal Gear for a joy ride. She kept her eyes on you making sure you knew why that was wrong. It sends a shiver up your spine just remembering that.

“But. But he hasn't done anything like that to us. If anything he has been good to us. Before, I was always angry and alone. But when I met John, he showed that I didn't have to be that way. That things didn't have to be that way for me.” Houki answers honestly, speaking from her heart.

“If it wasn't for John, I wouldn't have been saved by him. I know that by being by his side I am happy and can feel at peace.” Charlotte says softly as she takes your hand and holds it close to her.

“John told me he would protect no matter what happened. That my birth and life mattered, it mattered to him.” Laura says with a calm tone as she looked straight at your Mom.

“John is the only one I want by my side. There is simply no one else that I want to stand by.” Cecilia announces, loud enough so that everyone hears her.

Time for a tactical retreat. No point in further angering your Mom over things.

“I'm sure both of you are hungry and tired. Everyone else is already in the dining room having dinner.” you say to start your retreat.

“Dinner sounds great. Now come along, we wouldn't want everyone to wait.” you Dad says as he pushes your Mom to follow.

So that is why her name on her driver's license is Mary but everyone calls her Paz.” you answer.

“How terrible.” Houki comments, sad at such a past event.

“And that was only after you got everyone to stop working and start searching all over the base for him.” Uncle David adds.

“John has talent. It took an entire day for DD and me to find him in the maintenance pylon of the Secondary Factory Island.” Grandpa finishes.

“That explains why John is really good at hiding. John's IS support crew under Ms Foss couldn't find him for an entire week.” Charlotte comments.

“I'm still the hide and seek champion whenever we play.” you add proudly.

“There was that time John hide in my jeep during one of my hunting trips” Grandpa says thinking out loud. “When I found him in the back seat, he was already playing with a gray wolf pup. He ended up wanting to keep it.” Grandpa continues.

“It was cute and it would listen to my orders.” you retort.

“And then you tried to tame a black bear cub.” Grandpa replies.

“You were capturing animals for the zoo, so I thought I would help. And we really got along, he would ride on my back before we had to send them all to the zoo.” you state.

“That's besides the point. At least the mother bear was already tranqed by the time you got there.” Grandpa says.

“What happened to wolf pup?” Houki asks.
