You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!
Currently, you were tracking down Anna, Luce, Wren, and Daly after they had went missing, presumably captured. Further investigation showed that the culprit was apparently a rogue shipgirl, the USS Kidd, who was a Fletcher that genuinely believed she was a pirate, or was at least milking the role for all it was worth.
Thanks to your in depth knowledge of your own class, you knew how to draw Kidd out in the open. However, her blood was up and she was looking for a fight, if that pirate cutlass in her hand was any indication.
"Should we... help?" Haida asked uncertainly.
"I think I got a shot at her." Portland notes as one of her turrets swivels into place.

"Well, pirates play dirty, so we should, too!" You grin.
"She's just one ship. I think all three of us can take her." Haida nods.
"OR, Hoel can just distract her while you and me go inside and extract the others." Portland points out. "Fletchers are pretty easy to distract in general."
"Hey!" You glower. "We are not!"
"Uh uh, sure." Portland rolls her eyes. "So you want us to help you out or not?"

"Eh, I can handle her. You go find Anna and the others!" You tell her.
"All right, just be careful." Portland eyes Kidd cautiously. "I'm not sure if she's going to pull her punches."
"And neither will I!" You chortle.
"Figures." Portland sighs.
"Quit yer yabberin' and fight me already, ye scallywags!" Kidd barks as she leaps from the top of the lighthouse, landing on the water below with a loud SPLASH, sending water and ocean spay everywhere as her Rig materializes.
You immediately note the battle damage on it. She had obviously been in a few scraps, and seeing as how she was operating independently, hasn't had the opportunity to get the stuff really fixed beyond what her fairy crew was capable of on their own. You also noted an extremely crude representation of the Jolly Roger haphazardly "painted" on the sides of her Rig.
"Go now!" You bark as you charge right at Kidd, swinging your bat.
Kidd sees the attacking coming clear as day and raises her cutlass in a guard position, stopping your swing with a loud CLANG.
"Eheh, ya got some fire ye blood!" Kidd grins.
"And you got a serious problem in your head thinking you can win against me!" You grin back.
And as if one cue, you can hear the distant rumble of thunder as your radar starts picking up dense rainclouds gathering above...

With one grunt, Kidd pushes with her arms, shoving you back and creating some distance between the two of you again. It's starting to shower a bit now, with drops of rain bouncing off your head and Rig. Kidd starts sailing around in a circle, as if measuring you.

Kidd attempts to parry your blow, going into a high guard, but you're in fact feinting, pull your bat back and instead transitioning into a forward thrust, plowing the blunt end of your bat right into Kidd's exposed stomach. You can see her one eye widen in surprise as the air is literally pushed out of her body. She quickly reverses to regain distance...

"Ahahahaha, getting away ain't gonna be that easy!" You cackle as you wipe rain from your eyes.
"Who said I'm runnin'!" Kidd yells back. "I'm, I'm just temporarily movin' back! That's all!"
