What Iconic Piece of Equipment (not Weapon) would you use to Identify a class in Pathfinder? Trying to make unique class items for my PCs.

So far what I have

Paladin: Cape
Fighter: Sheath
Rogue: Hood
Wizard: Book
Cleric: Holy Icon
Ranger: Quiver
Monk: Headband
Barbarian: Belt
Bard: Musical Instrument
Sorcerer: Necklace
Druid: Fur Mantle

any thoughts or suggestions for other classes or what might work better?

>no Mask

Paladin : Horse
Fighter : Codpiece
Rogue : Bag or coinpurse
Wizard : Pathfinder Core Rulebook. No other book.
Cleric : A smaller cleric for backup.
Ranger : A dog.
Monk : Wristwraps.
Barbarian : Written note of apology from Paizo for making Conjuration so damn good.
Bard : Chastity belt.
Sorcerer : Written note of apology from Paizo for making prepared casters so damn good.
Druid : Two dogs.

I'd suggest
Fighter: Helmet
Monk: Belt (Think Black Belt)
Barbarian: This one's more difficult but I'm thinking Fur Pelt, Headdress and/or Skull decoration?
Druid: Wreathe

Why would anyone wear a mask?

To improve the disposition of others towards the mask-wearer, as well as the mask-wearer's reputation?

Here's what I'd do, personally.

For yours:
Paladin: Warhammer
Fighter: Sword and shield
Rogue: Dagger
Wizard: Staff
Cleric: Holy tome
Ranger: Bow
Monk: Bo (Quarterstaff)
Barbarian: Greataxe
Bard: Musical Instrument
Sorcerer: Wand
Druid: Sickle

Additionally:
Alchemist: Potion
Cavalier: Lance
Gunslinger: Gun (WHOAAAAAAAAA)
Inquisitor: Scroll
Magus: Curved sword (scimitar for example)
Oracle: Crystal ball
Summoner: Chalk or salt (for drawing summoning signs with)
Vigilante: Mask
Witch: Pointy witch hat

Antipaladin: Warhammer eerily similar to Paladin's but all fucked up and twisted
Ninja: Shuriken
Samurai: Katana

Arcanist: Book of spells
Bloodrager: Phial of blood
Brawler: Fist weapon (caestus, brass knuckles, gauntlet, etc.)
Hunter: Crossbow
Investigator: Magnifying glass
Shaman: Wooden totem
Skald: A weapon that's also an instrument, think Hunting Horns from Monster Hunter (a player in one of my games is using a Greatclub that's also a didgeridoo that he plays by swinging it about)
Slayer: Wooden stake
Swashbuckler: Cutlass
Warpriest: Mace

He said no weapons in the op

I noticed.
You can't do it without weapons.
Well, you can, but it's a bit shit.

Paladin : Horse-sized dog.
Fighter : Angry dog.
Rogue : The king's dog.
Wizard : Dog. (Polymorphed into cat)
Cleric : Dog that pisses holy water.
Ranger : A dog.
Monk : An unarmed dog.
Barbarian : A rabid dog.
Bard : Dog with ranks in Handle Animal.
Sorcerer : Mixed-breed dog.
Druid : Two dogs.
Alchemist : Dog (Test subject.)
Gunslinger : Dog with a gun.
Oracle : Dog with crystal balls.
Summoner : Dog with SLA of Summon Lesser Dog (3/day)
Vigilante : Dog wearing a burlap sack over head.
Witch : Half a dog, ripe for cooking.
Cavalier : Dog with an insatiable lust for horses.
Inquisitor : English Pointer.
Magus : Dog that carries a wand at all times. The wand is a Wand of Create Wand, with zero charges. The dog has already used it to make his wand.

Perhaps without the mask, death would result.

Were removal of the mask to transpire, extreme pain would be an assurance.

>not Weapon
>Fighter: Sheath
>Ranger: Quiver
I feel like this is cheating.

14 year-old detected.

He seems rather large.

How are your 14-year-old sensors not picking up this samefag.

A garbage can with a sphere of annihilation in it because that's where all PF material belongs.

Because baneposting entertains me, but needing special items to all be weapons does not.
I am fucking whimsical.

Fair point.

I like this thread, Veeky Forums. Can we keep it going?

You could swap Fur Mantle for Ranger and give Druid an Antler Crown. This way we get rid of the Quiver, which is basically part of a weapon. Still unsure of what to do about the sheath, though.

Hows about some gloves for the fighter? Being a man at arms is a hands-on job, afterall.

That works. "By the strength of my arm" and stuff.
Another option I thought of is to give Cleric a stole, or some other vestment. That way Paladin gets the Holy Icon and Fighter gets the Cape.
